So I had a lane and was setting up. Turned around to talk to my dad and a family was sitting at my table Man had my credit card in his hand because it was sitting on the table at the lane of mine I'm wanting to think positive about it that he was getting ready to take it up front So it could be returned to the proper owner because he was clueless that I was shut off of my lane. but this is a situation that shouldn't have happened. Oh and they're fix to it was not the guy that walked in the door going to another lane but me and my family they had been there for a game already moving all the way to the other end. Last time I was there they had waxed the lanes so much that by the fifth frame I had already went through three towels. Cleaning the balls the oil was all over my clothes and I just had enough I gave up. When I told them that's how bad the lanes were and I couldn't even finish my 10 frames they were like oh well that's just the way it is We put way too much oil on the lane and we're not going to do anything to compensate you. I love the fact that it's so close within 2 mi but if I want to enjoy myself I'll drive 30 minutes out the way to do it. Considering the value for the money to go bowling and the fact that there is nothing else climate controlled family entertainment in this area that place should stay packed the fact that it's not should be speaking volumes to the owner. Also when they hand out lanes it's like random never seen anything quite like it most bowling alleys you go to they start out with odd numbers and work from end to end separating everybody and give them as much room as possible and then once they get to one end they go to even numbers unless somebody comes in wanting to lanes and then that causes the switch from odds to even. Matter of fact most bowling alleys have had a program that determines the time that people's been on the lanes for the amount of games that they purchased to try to keep everybody as comfortable as possible since as far back as the 1980s. All in all they were courteous this time compared to the last...
Read moreAnother great Buffalo Lanes establishment! I have yet to be disappointed with a Buffalo alley. If you're visiting from out of town or just don't bowl much, go to ANY Buffalo Lanes over the competitor. It's a "no name" brand that maintains better than any other company(big or small) that I've been to all over the nation. Went there for a 4 game sweeper tournament, a federation practice, federation tour stop and multiple practice sessions and was impressed with the 24 lane alley. I heard mixed things about the oil volume lacking but on all 3 visits it was exactly what a house shot should be. Played from 3-4 zones with all varieties of equipment. I am from Denver where all the good small alleys we're bought out by AMF. Which is a shame because after giving them one last shot in a gear league, I will NEVER return to ANY a.m.f. unless I have a tournament our tour stop at one. Luckily, buffalo is cheaper, better maintained and overall a better experience. The no alcohol environment is great for someone who no longer drinks. It is also great for people who want to bring their families. Buffalo has a target market that they knock out of the park; recreational family bowlers and league/tournament bowlers. Which really only leaves out drunk men. I can't say I'm upset about that. After all, there's plenty of places for them to hang out that doesn't involve throwing 15 lb cannon balls...
Read moreWe decided to take the kids and have a little family fun, and picked this location in hopes it might not be quite as busy. We drove almost an hour to get here and after today’s experience we will always make the drive to come back! Leanna was a saint and made our day wonderful. We had a problem with our lane resetting and she wasted no time getting us set up on the lane directly next to us until it could be fixed. No delay in our game which was great. Our daughter is only 3 and was quickly approaching her limit by the end of our first game. We took a break to play some arcade games. Go figure she didn’t want to bowl anymore after that even though we had already paid for our second game. I didn’t figure we could get any kind of refund but thought it wouldn’t hurt to ask. Leanna was nice enough to understand and gave us 4 “free game” tickets to return another time and play the game we already paid for. We were so pleased. The bathrooms were spotless, everything very clean and loved that you can turn bumpers on/off for the little ones. 5/5 rating. Will definitely be back. Special thanks to Leanna, that girl deserves...
