To be honest, before my son and I ever even set foot on the ground at LGR, if you would have asked me what I thought our first time trying it out would be like, my answer most definitely would not have included anything worth repeating and it certainly would not have included me writing a 5 star review. Needless to say, our past experiences at a range in the area we live, had really never been good. Today changed all that. From the moment my son and I walked into the office area/food and beverage area/ sign in sheet area, we were met with smiles and kindness from the two ladies that were holding down the fort, and I am sorry I didn't get their names, my loss. When we arrived at the 25 yard pistol range, all of my doubts disappeared. The guy with the vest, was exactly the opposite of what I had witnessed at the other gun range in my own city. This guy helped make our time there rewarding, informational, fun and safe. I made sure to get his name, because even at my age and no matter what we think we know, there is always more to learn. Thomas is the kind of guy you can only hope you live next door too. He is a great example of what a leader looks like. He also practices what he teaches. He and the two ladies were really such a large part, the most important part of why we had a great experience today at the Linden Gun Range. Maybe it was just a regular day to them, but because they were part of ours, they helped us to have a whole new outlook, when it comes time to go...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe best place to take your father-in-law whom you hate. Iāve gone to ranges all the way from Sacramento to Tracy and Iāve been training with my father whoās a police officer since I became 21. I have my CCW license and throughout the whole process, I was treated like an aggressive sexual assaulting felon, obviously exaggerating. While walking to the range I was advised by the range officer to āNot unholster or else he would have to take out his weapon alsoā, the issue was the fact that I never showed the intention of even unholstering without his permission. The cherry on top was paying for the tape to hang our targets which costed $6 and then getting to the range and being given a stapler to use for free. It also doesnāt help when the range officer is breathing on your neck instead of making the range feel like a place to enjoy and learn safely. Linden Gun Range will obviously reply and claim that im exaggerating or lying, and I canāt blame them because any person/company will try their hardest to silence someone who points out...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI've been here half a dozen or so times and continue to come here when I am able to. It might be a little pricey for some, but the place is pretty good for my purposes; shooting my rifles! Range masters do a great job at keeping tabs on everyone and keeping the place safe. Since they added the sun shade to the rifle range it's been even better to go to. I can't speak for everybody's experiences, but mine has been pretty amazing everytime I go there. All you need to do is pay attention to the little things they ask (range flags, behind the red line, etc..) and you'll have a great time.
Don't forget to bring a staple gun (for setting up targets) and mats for the concrete rifle stands (depends if you shoot a lot, position; after 120 rounds of 5.56 and some 30-06 my elbow was pretty upset at me).
As far as pistol shooting goes I have no quibbles to speak of, but I mainly go for the rifle range.
I'm looking forward to testing out the 200 yard range with my...
