One of the world’s greatest high-altitude drives! This is hands down one of the most spectacular drives we’ve ever experienced! Trail Ridge Road is absolutely mind-blowing - driving at over 12,000 feet elevation with the world spread out below you is something every driver should experience at least once in their lifetime. The drive itself is an adventure from start to finish. As you climb higher and higher, you literally rise above the treeline and enter this otherworldly alpine environment. My wife and I couldn’t believe we were actually driving our car through the clouds! The road winds through terrain that feels more like you’re on another planet than Colorado. The views are absolutely incredible at every turn. Snow-capped peaks stretching endlessly in all directions, alpine lakes sparkling far below, and that feeling of being on top of the world that you just can’t get anywhere else. We stopped at multiple overlooks and each one was more breathtaking than the last. What makes this drive even more special is how well-maintained and accessible it is. The engineering feat of building a road at this elevation is impressive enough, but it’s paved and safe while still feeling like a true mountain adventure. The descent into Estes Park is equally stunning with completely different scenery. Fair warning - bring layers and take your time with the altitude! But seriously, this is bucket list driving at its finest. Trail Ridge Road is pure magic! 🏔️🚗✨

Beautiful drive! I was hesitant to keep going but my wife insisted. So many great/different views of the mountains. I was amazed at how green and prevalent the grass was. I felt like I was in a scene from Lord of the Rings, even saw a few elk walking around.

As amazing as it was 10 yrs ago. This time we couldn't complete the trip across the Trail ridge as it was closed for bad weather but is absolutely beautiful and wish I had chance to complete the loop all the way through Grand Lake.
