Mossy Ledge is a sparling gem 25 minutes from downtown Bangor. When you see the sign on Lakins Rd you will cross their own private bridge essentially into their clubhouse-style facility. They have parking all around the building and up the long drive - there is plenty of parking across the street at the church and Lakins Road is not very busy so crossing is mot a problem.
Everything inside is beautiful wood, lights, music, and delicious drinks. There is a full dance area on the first floor and a large loft style area upstairs with a balcony overlooking the entertainment on the first floor. They have a large deck with windows so you can still see everything going on inside. They have a smoking area that is easy to access from the main entrance.
They showcase music regularly with karaoke and the like during the week and large, but really chill crowds on live music nights. Ive been there 3 times now and its always a fun crowd and NO DRAMA. It's a little bit out of the way, but only a couple miles off the 95 exit and very easy to find...WELL worth the trip pretty much any time and especially when they have musical entertainment which is regular.
If you've never been there you should take them up on the flight of vodkas that they distill right there. They offer tours until 6 I believe. Once you've had a taste you'll want to try one or two of their specialty mixed drinks. They have water available, sports team style with ice which is nice so you dont have to ask for refills.
The bathrooms are very clean and spacious and everything about the place looks nice... it's got a serious campground type feel and they should really consider opening up a camping area or bed and breakfast or something because it really is like a place you want to wake up to and have coffee and breakfast the next morning with your fun...
Read moreGreat drinks and really great pizza, very friendly staff and owner. Clean environment and beautiful setup inside. My only complaints would be the prices for the drinks are not listed in the menu, and the pizza seems to be a alittle expensive but by no means is it a turn off. I think it was listed at $15 for a cheese pizza and $2 per additional topping. Maybe could be $12 for cheese and leave the additional toppings at $2? Free tasting is a great addition as it was our first time there. So could be how they compensate for doing the free tasting. Which is totally understandable! We absolutely loved the birch beer cordial. So much we could not leave without a bottle of it to bring home. Overall wonderful wonderful place, and a great place to bring your wife or husband on a date night. Thank you folks for wonderful...
Read moreMy husband and I recently purchased a bottle of the Mossy Ledge Amaretto Cordial at Damians to enjoy at home. However, after realizing we were only 25 (ish) minutes from their tasting room we decided we needed to go check it out.
The trip did not disappoint! What a gorgeous location. The inside is all wood giving a very charming feel. Tons of seating options depending on the size of your party. They even have an outdoor space for the warmer days.
When we visited, Katie and Nikki were behind the bar and they were so friendly! These two were handling the busy rush like pros leaving no one waiting or thirsty.
I don't think I could pick a favorite from what we tired. It was all so tasty! They have pages of cocktails to choose from. Oh, and did I mention they do to-go...
