Hiwassee Corner Market — Local services in Etowah

I have visited this store in the past years it was open. Some years ago it was a nice place to visit for a quick bite of food, fishing supplies, etc. This past year 2022 my daughter and I visited and had a very bad experience with the ladies who worked there. I won't go into details but suffice it to say that the machine you put quarters in to hopefully win case from is flawed and one of the ladies pocketed the winnings that my daughter rightfully won.

Vowing to never return to this store, I broke my vow this past week and was surprised to see some new faces there. There has been a great improvement in the quality of the food we were served as well as the smiling faces that greeted us.

Will we return? Possibly so. Our last visit was pleasant so perhaps they deserve another visit to see if they are consistent with good food and...

HORRIBLE!! No knowledge of how to make a Cheese steak, let alone put the word Philly in front of it! Took approximately 40 minutes to make 5 tiny steaks and still couldn't get them right. Oh don't forget the fact that I was asked at the last minute if I wanted cheese on my "cheese steaks!!" On top of that, the cheese was stuck to the paper, not even on the sandwich. We will never eat there again. So if you know what good cookin is then do not torture yourself by eating from there! Our dogs will not even be fed this...

You couldn't ask for any better fresh cooked food, friendly staff and clean environment! The owners are very nice as well! If your in Delano and are hungry you should definitely stop in and see Sonya the AMAZING Manager and her crew of ladies who cook and run...
