I have followed Derek on Instagram and Facebook and have admired his work For a while. He made two toy boxes out of beautiful walnut in such a swift amount of time and hand-delivered them to me. We wanted a kitchen island made locally from sustainably-harvested wood - not some imported thing from who-knows-what-kind of wood, so I did an internet search and found Derek's website. We liked the looks of his work, so contacted him. We sent a picture of approximately what we were looking for, and then discussed dimensions, type of wood, finish, and a few other details. To say I am in love with my new table and matching bench would be an understatement. They're just gorgeous! Derek was a pleasure to work with. I didn't even know where to start when we spoke about a live edge table. He guided me through the different woods & finishes, and helped me choose a unique slab. Delivery was flawless-- he brings all the pieces and assembles it onsite. I think he likes to see where his baby is going to live! He is charming and clearly very talented.
