My buddy and I had dinner here on a Friday night and the place was pretty packed. I had a NY Strip Steak with a baked potato and carrots and everything was really, really good. The steak was cooked perfectly - juicy and tender; the baked potato was great, and the carrots were actually delicous - think they cooked or marinated them in honey, maybe??? Added a nice sweetness to them. Definitely a no frills type of place, but was an excellent "home-cooked" steak platter.

If you stumble upon Eustis on your ATV and are starving, this is not a bad stop to grab a meal, or drinks with a large party. Rustic setting, large venue, outdoor seating, good service, fair amount of choices on the menu, food is merely OK though. None of the staff wore masks serving guests indoors, just seemed too early to leave all the covid safety precautions behind; guests may not have been vaccinated yet.

While vacationing in Rangeley, we decided to give this place a try. It was a Thursday night, so that meant it was prime rib special night. And I'm so glad we did. The slices of prime rib were huge, and oh so tasty. Add in some home cut fries and carrots, and you have a great meal. And I almost forgot about the homemade rolls. Will definitely be back next time were in the area.

I don't know where to begin. I brought my immediate family here, an 1hr north of our home, for a big dinner the evening prior to our wedding, so it was a large party of 14-16. We had 2 good experiences previously, and rated the restaurant well on food and highly on service, one experience including a previous anniversary, so we thought it would be a wonderful local place to bring family who've never been to Maine. We had one of the most awful experiences I've ever had or seen at any restaurant in my life, and literally watched as a server had what looked and seemed like a nervous breakdown. Now that's saying something after working 20+years in the industry. I won't share our server's name, because I hope she gets some help for whatever is going on in her life, because an unwarranted outburst we received is absolutely crazy. Let me start by explaining we ended leaving our server, who did an excellent job throughout the meal, a final tip of approximately $300, on a $657bill so approximately a %50 tip. I think that’s fair, and if we were wealthy, we probably would've given her more. We ate, some people had their criticisms of various dishes and loved others, overall the food was good, extremely expensive, but good. We all decided we'd tip our waitress as best we can, because she remembered our orders accurately without writing them down. Surprisingly they were willing to separate checks, but there were numerous errors with the final check each party received, w/ various orders and drinks repeated and/or placed on the wrong check. As people paid and others waited for for their final check, I came in from smoking a cigarette outside, and during that time saw our server serving at least 2 tables in their outdoor area. When I came back in, she was coming out of the staff area almost crying, so I politely asked if something just happened or went wrong, as she'd been so upbeat and happy throughout our dinner. Keep in mind, 3 of us hadn't even received our final credit card receipt, the one where you write in a tip(we left $40 on check, but another $20cash after her episode) . I won't mention her name, out of respect for her privacy, but she became completely hysterical, accusing us of leaving her only $5 on two checks, that while approaching us with a handful of cash(we gave as tip, as most paidby card). She tried to say we were her only customer of the evening, said she worked harder for us than anyone while shaking, crying slapping our checks down in front of other customers, going back and forth through the dining room and arguing with each member of our party until our family felt so guilty they gave her twice what she deserved, all while I was politely asking her to "take a breath, there must be some misunderstanding, because there's no way we would leave less than %20" She ignored that and lost control to the point of having to be pulled away by other employees, while another server defended her, and tried to tell us we should come back to give her more money the next day. We had other customers who witnessed the scene apologize to us for her awful behavior, a young couple sitting next to us said it was just wrong, and another witness to chaos joked in the parking lot that his family had actually forgot him, because he was in the bathroom(they picked him up shortly later), and even he said how we were treated was just plain wrong. Disappointed, wanted a good memorable experience for our family just before our wedding, and it definitely was, but not...

I haven't let myself have a steak dinner in a while so I was really looking forward to it. It's hard to know what door to go in...I went into the one with the open sign which brought me to the bar not the restaurant...that seemed weird. It wasn't too busy in the dinning area but the bar was busy..which is expected late on a Saturday. The waitress was amazing. Ari? I think?. I ordered steak medium well because I'm ok if it's a little over cooked more then if it's fully bloody. It was burned on the outside and an almost purple on the inside. The mashed potato side was real potato...but somehow tasted like water. I also got potato skins with a plan to have one and save the rest to go with an egg breakfast but they also came burned so not great for reheating. But i can tell they would have been good. My other half got a burrito and just said it was "ok" he brought half home but didn't finish it...it's the first burrito I haven't seen him finish. The bar was a bit loud...what was annoying was that it was about 80% the bartender. I think I would rate it better if the price reflected the guilty of the food both in...

Went her on the 2nd night of our vacation which happened to be Twofer menu night with Prime Rib. So we got the twofer special My wife got the Broiled Sea Scallops with a Crab Crumb topping She said it was so delicious that she honestly would think about taking a ride back up this area just to get it again (We live over 4 hrs away) LOL. I got the Prime Rib Which was very good. Only complaint is I wish I didn't have the 1st cut after the End cut as My favorite part of Prime Rib is the out side section on meat which mine had none. But Was still really good. If we ever visit this area again we will definitely go here again. We got a Carrott Cake to go as we were so full. But wish I had ordered 1 for just myself it was so Delicious. Our server was super friendly & very quick. If you are thinking of try Trails 'S End I say give it a try you...
