Got here early on a Saturday, around 4pm. This is a VERY busy truck stop. And the RV spots are up front by the gas pumps. The station is very dirty. Our RV spot was nice and big but even walking the dog behind the camper, the grass was FULL of dog waste. My kids kept trying to go back there and play and I couldn’t let them because it was so dirty. The parking lot area was super busy with trailer parking spots to the left and then all the gas pumps. And several of the cars would pull up with their radios blaring while they filled up - this happened all night long. Like it was a local party spot. The parking lot was full of cigarettes and yet there was always an employee just walking around looking like he was cleaning up. A sweet pittie dog was just dumped and abandoned in the dog run area. I told the night employees about it and they said they would take care of it. The morning employees I went to talk to knew nothing about it. We went and took her a bowl of water, there is no shade for her. Our neighbors (who couldn’t take their dogs in there either) took her some food. But not one employee came out to see that she was there. And yet lots of people tried to walk their dogs to the dog park, only to be turned around out of fear. We LOVE Loves truck stops, but this was by far the most run down one we have been to and while it served a purpose, we paid way too much to stay here and be disturbed...
Read moreSites were big and hookups were easy. Site #4 was not level. Biggest issue was water pressure which was only 30 psi which is just a trickle. Our on-demand water heater requires an absolute minimum of 40 psi which means we had no hot water and were unable to wash dishes or take a shower. We were the only RV of the four sites hooked up to water. I attached a picture to show full pressure at the sink.
There were several 1-hour parking spots on the one side of our RV. There was a diesel pickup truck pulled into the spot right next to us. He was running his VERY loud diesel engine but I did not complain because it was only a 1-hour spot; however, after listening to his engine for over 3 hours, I finally called. The girl who answered said she would let the manager know. Nothing happened. I went to bed and tried to sleep. After 2 more hours, I called again. By now it was after midnight. About 12:30, someone must have come out as the engine thankfully went silent and I finally...
Read moreNot as nice as other Love’s RV Stops and the restrooms didn’t exactly measure up to the “Clean Places” part of their slogan. Reserved site 4, but the electric didn’t work, so we moved to site 3. Sites are fairly short for a truck and trailer combo of around 45 feet - barely fit. Sites are right next to the gas pumps and dog park so there’s a lot of outside activity pretty close to your camper. There were also several vehicles that parked in the empty RV spots in the night, either to run in the store or to, apparently, sleep for a while, so no regulating of that issue. The larger Love’s RV Stops are further from the store, so not as much random activity. All of that aside, these Love’s RV Stops are super convenient for a quick stop and we’ll...
