We rented tents and lighting from CORT Party Rental for our wedding. We succeeded in getting the protection from the elements we had hoped for. The delivery and pick up crews were quick and professional. We had a great experience with them as we had to problem solve on the spot due to a sales mistake. Unfortunately, our contract was not reviewed by sales until Friday evening for Monday delivery and a mistake was discovered. This was incredibly frustrating and disappointing as we had booked early and then rescheduled due to COVID, so our contract had been in the system for a long time. The current sales manager discovered that we did not have enough lights reserved and while she promised on Saturday that it would be corrected, the delivery crew had already printed their paperwork and were unaware that we needed additional lights. Since our venue was two hours away from their warehouse, the delivery crew was unable to go back to pick up more lights. We ended up not lighting a gazebo and had less lights over the dance floor and in the reception tent than we had hoped for, which created more of a mood lighting look for the entire evening. The error was blamed on the original salesperson, who is no longer there to defend himself. I recall when we signed the contract with him in the fall, that he was worn out from a busy summer. Similarly, the current sales manager had noted that she had had a very busy summer which is why she hadn’t reviewed our contract earlier. It seems to me that they are too busy for the number of sales staff they have, and they have high turnover (we dealt with three different salespeople in three years). We were drawn to CORT with their flashy showroom and slightly lower prices. If we were to ever rent tents again, we would choose the local business who had also quoted us, even if they cost more. Read moreCORT Party Rentals is very pricey, inflexible, and not friendly to work with. Their website contains misleading information, and they sent me two incorrect quotes for my order. I won't be renting from them, and recommend you look anywhere else to rent party supplies.
I was looking to rent chairs for outdoor seating at my upcoming wedding. We only needed 60, which totaled $87 through CORT. On their Website they listed delivery options, and it came out to an additional $44 each way for delivery to and from my venue, plus damage protection and tax to total around $180. However, when I placed the order and a rep contacted me, she told me that delivery was only available on a $350 minimum order. (Yet customers still have to pay the fees on top of this minimum) I asked if there was a way to pay a slightly higher fee to still include delivery of the chairs, and she sent over a quote two hours later totaling nearly $500. The quote was to just pay the minimum $350, plus the $88 delivery fee, and tax on the whole order, totaling $492 to rent 60 chairs for a day. I called and kindly asked to speak to the manager, who had a "what's your problem" kind of tone from the minute I got ahold of her, and she informed me that it didn't make business sense to offer deliveries below their minimum, even if paying the delivery fee. I asked why that wasn't on the website, and she didn't have an answer.
I really wanted to rent from this company, but am very frustrated by their lack of flexibility and hope that they figure out how to be kind as well as strive to meet the needs of their customers...
Read moreCort did an amazing job helping us in our urgent need. We hosted a Thanksgiving celebration and were ghosted by the first company that we reached out to. I was able to speak with Livi while driving home from work frantically trying to find all of the items we would need for our event that was happening in 2 days. She helped me to locate ALL of the items and was able to assure me that they would be delivered on time.
When I arrived to pick up a second order that we made, I was greeted warmly and felt very welcome in their lobby. There was a small computer issue that created a small problem with the delivery, but while I was there with the gal in the loppy, she was able to work with dispatch and ensure that we still had our delivery on time. Not an ounce of stress while working with them.
Our delivery arrived at the beginning of our window and the 2 gentlemen that delivered were super kind and helped all of the guys on our team to get them tables, chairs, and remaining equipment to our dining room with out any issue.
We have another event just before Christmas and we will DEFINITELY be using Cort for that...
