My husband and I were looking to have a simple beach wedding with close friends and family. We did not want to break the bank just to have a nice ceremony as we had already gotten married by the court before our son was born. I found Affordable Beach Weddings online and I loved what I saw and the prices for what you needed were perfect and reasonable! I was able to ask questions, and Armando our wedding officiant texted me back and was patient with me and answered all my questions and help me pick a perfect date that was available and had even suggested for us to do it at Fort Lauderdale beach because that was personally one of his favorites and we would not have to pay a permit to have the wedding on the beach. Armando made me feel at ease with the planning and deciding on the package that fit what we wanted. I was able to book the date and package we wanted by putting down a deposit and having time up to 15 days before the actual wedding day to pay off the whole amount, which was great not to have to come out of pocket all at once the whole amount! Once the date started coming closer, I got in contact with Nancy who also coordinates the weddings and I was able to pick out the color scheme I wanted to go with my wedding and even the color combination I wanted for my bouquet (which was beautiful and you get to keep). Then the day before the wedding, Nancy had made a group chat with Armando, our photographer and herself to keep me inform of what was going to happen. They even sent me an easy picture to share with my guest on where to park and where to find the spot on the beach where we would be having the ceremony. The day of the wedding was crazy to say the least, it was raining and really really windy! I was late (bride tradition I was told lol) but Armando has suggested for everyone to stay in their cars to let the rain pass. Once the rain passed, it was still crazy windy, we couldnāt even have our 1 month old son out there lol it was like a hurricane! Luckily we had a family member stay with our son in the car. Armando was super cool, he was worried I was going to be bridezilla but the contrary! I love a little crazy, thatās usually how our adventures turn out for my husband and I! It was defiantly funny and fun! My hair was a mess and all over, but Armando did such a great job keeping everything still in order in all the chaos! He said beautiful words during the ceremony and the sand poring together in a heart glass container was beautiful and sweet! Our photographer Ilse was also a trooper in all the chaos with the weather and his equipment! He was patient and let us take different pictures/poses as many as we had liked, he was very nice! We canāt wait to see how all our pictures came out once they finish being edited!
All in all it was a great! I want to thank everyone at Affordable Beach Weddings for making it a one of kind experience!
I have even recommended them to one of my friends that recently...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe one star I give this company is for the two that made this day special, your photographer Kellie Leferver and your officiant Roly. Amazing people with great hearts and you can tell they love their jobs and are passionate about it. The rest of the operation is poor to say it kindly. Once I paid for my wedding it was zero communication until I asked two weeks out why I had not been contacted as I was told I would be. When I questioned this Nancy answered my emails one worded and claimed later, it was because they were busy with weddings for the weekend. I kindly asked, when would be a better time to contact them. Monday. was the email I received back. On Monday I emailed and called. When I told them in an email that I tried calling to speak to them about my wedding, (that at this point was 12 days away) they told me I had to make an appointment to speak to them on the phone. I said I don't mind but I had asked Saturday (14 days out) when the best day was to speak and was told today. Then I tried calling Armando who told me I could call anytime. I was beyond frustrated at this point and wanted him to know my concerns that I had absolutely NO IDEA what was even happening for my day. When I called he kept interrupting me where I told him I wanted to express my concerns. He called me a liar and told me that I needed to just trust they know what they are doing and that his company is the best of the best. Yet I have had little to no communication up to this point how would any bride feel. At this point I added my fiance' to the call. Once Armando realized that my fiance' was on the phone he changed how he talked to me claiming that he was just trying to calm my nerves. When my fiance' asked why he called me a liar Armando told him I just call a spade a spade. WHAT?! This is your customer and I myself am in a industry where you make the customer happy and calm them, not talk down to them. At this point I can't get my money back so I have to ride this out. After the conversation I get a little more communication and feel semi good about the wedding but still have no clue if this works out or not. Day before the ceremony I receive a text at 11:30pm saying they have changed the location a little down the beach and was promised that my 4:30pm wedding was a "sunset wedding" as requested. We all arrive and the wedding itself was perfect. Roly, as mentioned above was kind and a beautiful speaker. Kellie did her job as best as she could with the sun right in our faces. Now I have beautiful pictures with squinting eyes because of the sun. I'm highly dissatisfied with the service I received from such a "repeatable" company. Yes they had everything ready to go, which I appreciated, but when your over a thousand miles away communication is key. I'm very upset I did not receive my sunset wedding as that was a super important piece to my special day. Beware your on their time table and you get what...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWARNING: AVOID, I REPEAT AVOID hiring this company for your or your loved ones' wedding. Armando's behavior is extremely disrespectful, and you won't obtain the necessary permit for your beach wedding as promised. I reserved my beach wedding for March 10th, 2024, back on January 30th, 2024. However, since it coincided with spring break weekend, Miami Beach had all its parking lots restricted. Guests were facing a steep $100 fee per car if they needed to park. Had Armando secured the permit for my wedding, as I believed I was paying him for, ensuring a hassle-free and worry-free event, my guests could have parked for free, and we could have proceeded with our wedding as planned. Despite his assurance of a designated parking lot for my guests, accommodating around 50 people, it turned out to be inaccessible due to the closure during spring break weekend. This failure to deliver on his promises left me and my guests in a difficult situation. This all unfolded on March 7th, 2024, a mere three days before my wedding. Armando's proposed solution was either for my guests to pay $100 per car for parking or for me to fork out additional funds for an alternative venue. Faced with this predicament, I decided to terminate my agreement with his company and secure a different venue for my wedding. Armando had assured me via email that I would receive a refund for the amount I had paid due to the unforeseen circumstances. However, when I checked my account this morning, May 6th, 2024, I discovered that the same transaction amount had been taken out from my account once again. Upon contacting my bank, I was informed that Armando had denied the refund, stating it was against his contract. Additionally, it's worth noting that he demonstrated a complete lack of respect for women. During a conversation where my mom was attempting to resolve matters with him, he abruptly interrupted her with a dismissive remark, stating, "I am not done speaking. I am a man, and I am being very authoritative right now." Despite the challenges, I am immensely grateful that my wedding turned out absolutely stunning at an alternative venue called "The Vintage" located in zip code 33170. It was an intimate affair with no strangers in sight, as the entire venue was exclusively reserved for my family. Despite the last-minute nature of our arrangement, Ada, the manager, went above and beyond to accommodate us, even opening the venue on a typically closed Sunday out of sympathy for our situation. I firmly believe that everything unfolds for a reason, and my heart sincerely empathizes with anyone considering Affordable Beach Weddings and Armando for their special day. However, if you do decide to proceed, I offer two crucial pieces of advice: firstly, ensure that he secures the necessary permit for your wedding, and secondly, be prepared for potential disrespect if things deviate from the plan on your big...
