Buxton's Backyard Structures — Local services in Ewing Township

I am giving this review one star not for the quality of the play structure but for Buxton's staff and customer service.

We purchased a play structure from Buxton's and they were selling some of their demos at 20% off. We loved the playset and it was in "new" condition. Included in the price of the structure was moving and assembly and if we were to move it ourselves it would void the warranty.

They delivered our playlet on a red painted trailer with 2 guys (one of the owners) to move and assemble it. It was poorly loaded on the trailer with no attempt to protect it from bumps, scratches, and the wear from travel. After it was assembled there was red paint ALL over the vinyl and there were scratches, dents, and parts of the vinyl that were bent beyond repair. When we asked the guy if there was anything they could do for the damages they said we had to call the owner Barbra and that new structures are wrapped in cardboard and plastic and that we bought a "demo". After I nicely explained the situation to Barbra I asked if there was anything they could do for the damage and inconvenience. She was extremely nasty and said "what do you want from us it was a demo and already marked down 20%. If you dont like it they can take it down and load it back up and we can sell it tomorrow!" She put me on hold and told her husband to do $200 off and thats it. We would have had them load it back up but after hours of assembly our 2 year old was hysterically crying too use his swings.

We reluctantly took the discount and was left with the mess of trying to remove the paint and fix the dents, which was partially unsuccessful. We will never do business with Buxton's again due to their extremely rude customer service and disregard to the thousands of...

I haven’t visited this store and they were still able to find a playset that works PERFECTLY for my family- all through phone calls, emails and texts. Our old (free and going on 20 years old) playset was awful and falling apart. Unsure about if it was our ground being slightly unlevel or just the wood rotting, I sent Kristi a picture. She told me the ground was fine, but the playground frame was compromised. She sold me on the benefits of going with a vinyl playset vs wood but we couldn’t afford a brand new one. She sent me a few pictures of demo vinyl playsets at the store, as well as a flyer from a past customer. She answered all my questions and helped me choose the best one for our needs, and it was in our budget! Morning of install I called having some doubts. Barb answered and put all of my worries at ease. We opted for them to move and install it and John and Jimmy were friendly, knowledgeable and got it installed quickly.
