Motta's Country Gardens & Landscaping — Local services in Exeter Township

I would give this place zero stars if I could, Not to be trusted. Be sure to read my review to the bottom. I recently picked up an a pick up load of , so called mushroom soil, from this place. My truck can only hold an half yard. First off the soil looked like dirt , not mushroom soil. Then when I went to move it to the garden area it only filled 1.5 tractor carts. I never bought soil from Mottas before but have used another supplier that was a bit further from my home. I was sure Mottas did not give me a true 1/2 yard. So I went back to where I normally buy and their 1/2 yard filled 3.5 tractor carts. And the mushroom soil was rich and black.BIG DIFFERENCE !! So I feel this place just takes advantage of customers who they feel don’t know much . Well I landscaped as a young kid and been an avid gardener for 50 years . This place is a rip off and not to be trusted!! See below my first experience using them for mulch a few years ago. I should have known not to try them again as I did this year. After mulching my property for 11 year and using the same 14 yards of mulch I decide for the first time to by my mulch from Mortas. So it turned out I came up 2.5 yards short. Was it an honest mistake or not? I called and they were good enough to bring over the other 2.5 yards. But my my guess is they bet on me not knowing the difference. My wife and I worked with Motta's Country Garden and Landscaping on a very large and detailed hardscaping project at our home in Crystal Beach Manor, in Earleville, Maryland. I cannot say enough good things about the overall professionalism that was shown by Tyler Motta and the work crew he employs. The entire project was well presented and the outcome is simply fantastic. Tyler was on spot each and every day of the project and he worked with his crew on every aspect of our project. The completed project is something my wife are I very proud of and very pleased with the response we have from members of our community walking by our finished project. I need to acknowledge the crew because the weather that they installed this hardscaping project was not the best and yet they were dedicated to providing us with a beautiful completed project. I am quite sure anyone working with Motts's Garden and Landscaping will be totally satisfied with the overall professionalism that was on display at your project. My husband and I added a parking spot made of gravel to our backyard. We were pretty clueless when it came to figuring out the amount we would need and the type of gravel that would be good for the job. Despite our initial indecisiveness and TONS of questions, the Motta’s associates remained SO patient and kind. If the person we were speaking with directly did not have the answer, they were quick to find someone that did. After quite a bit of back and forth on our end, we finally made a decision and scheduled our deliveries. Again, even with all of our questions and concerns, the Motta’s team remained patient and polite. The delivery process went extremely smooth and, despite our alley being so small and awkward, the driver managed to get everything exactly where we needed it with a smile on his face.
