Rocky Hill Antique Collective — Local services in Exeter

I stop into this Antique mall anytime I find myself driving up the 99 even if its off the path a bit I do enjoy a good browse. This has nothing to with the vendors or prices. It was the employee that left a bad taste in my mouth. I was heading up to Sequoia a traditional early summer trip I have done with my family since I was born. I was in need of a cast iron pot with lid. It was 3:43pm when I finally made it and a lady asked if I was coming or going in parking lot. I said coming, she snapped back "We Are Closed" like it was an obvious and I was the only one not privy to this information.

I instantly said oh sorry and looked at my watch I thought you closed at 4pm. She said well yes we leave at 4. Working retail my entire life I wish that were the case but I guess I haven't been that lucky. I said I just needed to run for something and be quick but she wasn't having it. I felt attacked I don't think I have ever been treated so rudely from a store employee before. I consider myself a nice person and I wasn't planning on dillydallying I was looking for a cast iron pot for camp and that was it.

This will be my first negative review I do my best to only review things worthy but I felt so unhappy the last time I came through I felt it was important to share. Maybe she was having a bad day? This place is GREAT! Different booths are rented by different antique vendors, so there is really great variety here. Also some of the work there, so are pretty knowledgeable and helpful!

The prices in many of the booths are quite reasonable. Keep8ng in mind this isn't a yard sale. I was referred to a few other antique stores in town when I complained about a price on an antique ironing board and soon came running back to buy the item in question once I had price compared with similar ones around town!😊

Today we dropped in to kill some time and browse, ended up spending hours and still didn't look through the entire store! Amazing inventory,so much to look at! Some antique and consignment stores have absurd markups on an item's value, but not here. The pricetags match the value of items,and a lot of items were marked down making them a great value! I ended up leaving with a gorgeous new dish set and some antique utensils. You know,the quality that lasts through generations! The customer service is wonderful as well. I already have a list of items to return to purchase, and we will be returning soon to see the rest of the store. 10/10 the best local antique...
