Veterans' Memorial Cemetery — Local services in Exeter

Many of my family members are buried here. We have always had kind respectful caring people who volunteer and paid staff grounds are well maintained and it's always a beautiful place only issue is due to the enormous size of grounds it can be very difficult to find your loved one. They do have a map and usually someone is there that you could ask for help. They take pride in each and every veteran resting there. On holidays they go out of their way to be sure each and every one of the veterans and family(and members such as spouses children) all have flags at each and every one of them there. The sheer size of the grounds and the fact that everyone has their flags put out speaks for itself as does the amount of time and energy it takes to keep it beautiful there year round. I would recommend this to everyone entitled to be placed here when it's our time to go to choose to be buried here lots of love and prayers to each and every veteran who lays to rest here and to all soldiers still here as well and their families I salute and...

The landscaping was beautiful . I was impressed by the beauty of the of the surroundings. I was able to locate my father's grave using the computer in the Visitors Center. Am glad I went there. A beautiful, peaceful spot. It was interesting to note the sections are individualized according to the various eras - for example World War 2, the Korean War, Vietnam. This is a beautiful cemetery where many of my loved ones rest in peace. The only complaint I have is that it appears as if whoever has been cutting the grass has been running over the flat head stones with the lawnmower causing damage to the headstones in the form of dark streaks and scratches across the face and edges.
