Klutina River !!!! This charter is a one in a lifetime opportunity to get a GIANT king salmon you’ve been hoping for! It’s open from July 1 - Aug 10th! We went on July 4th which turned out to be a perfect Day for fishing, everyone got a King! Aaron was our guide, he is so knowledgeable with the secret fishing holes and gives you the best rafting trip ride of a lifetime, on the Klutina River! Not only do you catch fish, but you can see wildlife along the 15 miles of river, andAaron can name every animal and bird along the way! So it’s a three for one deal!! The price is worth the trip! We cannot wait to do this trip again, and would ONLY go with Aaron or his other guide Jake! Both are amazing humans that give you the best day and most memorable trip of your life- here in Alaska!

The trip: you start off at the boat launch along the Richardson highway mile 79... if you’re coming from anchorage ... it’s on the left BEFORE Copper Center/Klutina River. This is important to remember because cell service is limited! So we met there, showed our fishing licenses and made sure our guides had us all together. We hopped in a pretty sweet van and rode for about 1hr 25 minutes up and over a mountain- the ride was really fun, the roads aren’t maintained so you just bump and rock and roll the whole way! We learned where our guides were from, and told some stories along the way! Once we arrived to their secret boat launch, we were all given a detailed orientation of raft safety, what NOT to do, and how to prepare for unexpected incidents in the water. We even we taught how to rescue someone if they were to accidentally fall out of the raft! Pretty neat! (Also, that is VERY rare) I think we all felt secure when the guides instructed us about their communication down on the river, to ensure everyone knows where everyone is in case something does happen. Next, we loaded up and headed to the first secret hole! The fish were everywhere, it was like water boiling! Can you believe it?? This secret hole is only accessible by guides, I would never recommend trying to Klutina River without one! They are very experienced!!!!! Anyways, fish caught and we moved to another hole! There are about five we stopped at! We saw ducks, tons of fish, bald eagles, golden eagles and some mountain goats!! Who woulda thought a mountain goat be so close to the river bed! That was neat! We ate snacks along the way, took tons of pictures, told lots of stories and made friends with the other couple on the raft! Also, I do recommend bringing a dry bag, the rafting trip is whitewater, and you do get wet! I am forever grateful for this trip, I have shared these guides with my friend and they will be booking!

Best fishing charter ever and we’ve been on over 5! Rylan was an awesome guide. He knew where the kings and sockeyes were and exactly what techniques to use. He helped us out every time we got stuck with a big smile on his face. Really cool guy as well which made it all the better. He was also amazing with our 5 year old daughter and made sure she got to try to fish and more importantly was comfortable and safe the whole time. As soon as we were done for the day we were already planning our next trip back with them! Best charter for...

Aaron and his crew were great! They assisted me and were ready to do whatever was necessary to ensure the charter went smooth. I am confined to a wheelchair and although very independent need some assistance. Aaron was responsive to my needs and helpful in making the trip a great experience at any cost. His guilds also held themselves to the same standard. Trever our guild was first class he worked hard to keep us safe and put us on fish. High marks for this whole crew. WE WILL BE BACK!!
