Wow! This place is unreal and amazing. Pro tip: If it’s your first time going to the camp, when you see the signs that say, “private road”, don’t be alarmed you’re heading in the right direction. We almost turned around, but keep going. Once you hit the dirt road - you’re getting closer. This place has multiple camp sites, and made such an enjoyable camping experience. We had a great chance to roam around and explore!

Camp Tamarancho is the first place where I had fun on most of the pedaling section. The flow is awsome even though I sucked pretty bad at it. We went after a rain so it was pretty wet but even then it was a lot of fun. Flow trail is probably the main attraction here. Would highly recommend riding here you won't be disappointed.

Great job on those trails which are more challenging than advertised. Rock gardens, narrow lines, tree roots and leaning trees. You have to work for the prize - the flow portion. I would do some trail maintenance to get rid of spiky roots but overall the trail system is great and well worth the $6 fee.

Got good cardio? If you can climb like a goat and are a technically intermediate to expert rider you for sure will have a lot of fun. In case you are a beginner rider I would not recommend riding there, it's mostly steep technical climbing and descending with slippery roots and rocks...One of the highlights is the beautiful designed flow trail! Don't go on the trail without a full water bladder.. if you are the "I just grab a water bottle" type of guy you will learn a tough...

Great trail!! Good for beginner and intermediate riders. You can get lost if you don't know where you are going. Nice flow trail. There's a bike shop where you can buy your day pass before heading to the trail. It was $5.00 last time I went. That was a couple of years ago. There was a Ranger that would check for passes to see if you had them. You can also purchase online from what I remember and print them out to have it with you. The trail is worth the drive across the Golden...

Great single track MTB loop. Could have done without the local "attitudes" but overall a good experience. We are from Nevada City and have oodles of good, hard rides right in our backyard. Also, there is a much better trail vibe. Don't want to perpetuate a stereotype but there is some thing about the way people treat each other in the Bay Area. They ride the way they drive. No patience. Thanks to the Boy Scouts though for maintaining a...
