Dickson Ranch — Local services in Fairfax

Dickson Ranch is a staple of the Woodacre Community and surrounding areas. It is family owned and operated, being in existence since the 1800's. They also give back to the community, especially the kids, with volunteer work. I've boarded my horse there going on 7 years, and the board is reasonable. Unlike some other stables in the area, Dickson has acreage and trails on their property. Many arenas to choose from both English and Western. Dickson does hold horse shows but usually there is a waiting list, I had to wait...

I have not been here for quite some time But I knew Grace and Chuck the owners..I grew up on the ranch .. I worked for lesson "s after school I would go out get schooling horses and clean them up saddle and bridle,then I would get my horse out and do the same also helped feed the ranch and mom helped me with boarding..The best time of my life was on Dickson Ranch. I learned how to work hard for what I wanted ..Gave my values and I was apart of the family there .The best of times..Thank you Gracie...

My home away from home. "Dickson" has been around for a very long time hence the good reviews. They do not rent horses or have trail rides. If you own a horse, then you're in luck, if they have room. Pretty reasonably priced, board did go up $30 this month, (May 2019), and did increase a couple of times within the two year period but, never the less, it's still reasonable for this area. The surrounding trails are very nice, with 3 areas, English and Western welcome. I'm happy...
