Kayaked from Blairsville to Aultman's Run. Very fun place to explore and I want to go back again soon. But, you should know, the current is slow so you paddle a lot and there aren't very many places you can get out and swim because the banks are high and muddy. Plus the Go Paddling app said it was only about a 3.5mi trip(3hr trip on the kiski)but the trip took us 7 hours. Not downsides just good info to have if you are thinking about kayaking this stretch...

When I lived in Blaisville, the Conemaugh was vile and disgusting. The river was yellowish-orange, and it smelled horrible. Growing up, I had never seen anything alive in it. I left in 1982, and when I saw the river in 2019, it was beautiful! Great job, my fellow...
