It was a rainy day in my city and I was coming on with a cold. So all I wanted to do was get in and out of the store. l went to RiteAlde. I spent over twenty five mintues just lookin for the items I needed to no avail... I thought to myself what am I doing here... I know better. I should go to Dollar General...so I put back the Phillips Milk of Magnesium I had in my hand and head for Dollar General... When I entered the store I felt a sigh of relief... I bought several items even more than I had planned. And the Phillips Milk of Magnesium was $2 less than Rite Alde... Everything I wanted was at the Dollar General... I love Dollar General, I could, hell who am I kidding, I go into a DG and may have only a couple of items to get and for the most I stick to my list, Lord knows if I didn't I would be in trouble. I love where it is, less than a mile from my house and if I'm having a bad day and have to go in there in the evening time, there is this 1 employee that puts a smile on my face each and every time I go in there. He reminds me alot of myself when I was his age, and still does to this day; if you catch me in one of my good days. He's always so chipper and doesn't seem to let anything or anyone bother him. Ah Dollar General. The only thing you got goin' for ya is convenience. Aside from that, you can usually expect a minimum of 3 people in line that don't know how to park in the lines, things strewn all over the store, and an exercise in patience akin to a pair of teething toddlers. Recent management changes are helping to improve this location as well as the addition of "fresh" produce. I say "fresh" because, well, it's fruit and stuff but the quality is questionably acceptable at best. Prices are generally higher than competitors.

Overall, the only reason I shop here is because of location. It's close enough to my house to make me put up with all the shortcomings just to save me a trip to somewhere better but I...
