Drove a fair distance to come check this place out based on reviews. I figured treasures and deals to be had in a more rural setting would outshine the cities but boy I couldn’t have been more wrong. First let me say, the two gentlemen at the front, very nice, kind, friendly, helpful. Not one issue about their customer service. Problems? Pricing, it was more a museum than a store. I have been to so many antique malls, shops, markets, etc around Maine recently and this was the biggest disappointment. I’ve found deals all over and bought at least one item in every shop except this one. I did try to make a deal, it was agreed upon, more than a fair price but suddenly it was changed due to belief it was now suddenly worth more because of one detail. EDIT 11/30/24:Another great find! The California Raisins piggy bank. Under $10 today. Fantastic!!! . Honestly, I used come here on occassion and walk out empty handed. I haven't been here in years until today. All I can say is: WOW! I love the fact that there's more late 70s, 80s, and 90s stuff. The prices have not only gotten better: but it seems like most of the booths I'm interested in are very negotiable. I'm very happy with my $20 before tax purchase of the 1978 ronald mcdonald doll and he had his whistle! This is the kind of stuff I'm ALWAYS looking for. Going to the antique mall in Fairfield is a very unusual experience. It’s fascinating to see things that could be 200 years old. It’s fun and spooky to pick up old telephones and say hello that could’ve been your grandmother‘s phone. It’s amazing to see lamps made with sparkling glass from maybe 50 years ago or more that you’ll never see in any of the store and close that can bring you back to the 60s. Everything is decorated each room you pass has a different thing. It’s the most unusual fun place you could ever go. Best of all you can bring home lots of it and style your own house in many different ways from time gone by but yet it’s inexpensive enough that everybody can afford to come home with something.
