For the past 25 years, our family and extended family and friends have had the pleasure of going to The Apple Farm and sharing so many wonderful moments and memories. That all ended today when I called to get information about a field trip. For the last 10 years we have been going there and having wonderful field trips on Mondays. Today when I called to schedule our annual field trip, I was informed that they no longer do field trips on Mondays, but do them on Tuesdays and Wednesdays instead. I politely explained that our school only has the ability to do our field trips on Mondays, and asked if they could possibly accommodate us this year on a Monday. The person put her hand over the phone and I could overhear her saying to her boss and I quote âsomebodyâs on the phone and wants a field trip on a Monday and I told her that we only do it on Tuesdays and Wednesdays blah blah blah and she wonât listen to reasonâ her boss replied some additional unfriendly things and when she came back on the phone I politely told her that saying no that they could not do Mondays would have been completely appropriate, but instead I had overheard everything that she said, and I was both hurt and shocked. I have never shown them anything, but absolute courtesy and politeness, and I absolutely cannot believe how I was treated. Shocking, and I also could hear customers in the background that also witnessed this extremely rude behavior from not only the employee but the âbossâ. This was the most rude, inappropriate and unprofessional Exchange and Iâm just hurt to the core. Will not be going back. And if anyone from The Apple Farm wants to reach out to me and have a conversation regarding this incident, they are absolutely welcome to do so. Will absolutely never be going back and will be sharing this experience with my friends and family so that no one else has to be treated in this manner. Edited to respond to reply: thank you for trying to reach out. I donât block numbers and donât see any missed calls from you. We will take a pass for this year and possibly reach...
Read moreWe had a wonderful time visiting The Apple Farm! We had been in 2022 and had some delicious apple cider donuts that stayed in our memory. So, we decided to visit again this year.
We enjoyed both the glazed and sugar coated donuts. Our only regret was not buying more! Next, we picked the McIntosh apples in the peaceful orchard. Lastly, we highly recommend visiting the sunflower field.
The Apple Farm is a great place for an inexpensive, relaxing, and scenic fall date. If youâre looking for a picturesque fall day in Maine, add The Apple Farm...
Read moreWe love the Apple Farm! We visit yearly. Picking apples has become one of our family traditions. They have the best cider, warm apple cider doughnuts, a variety of different species of apples (Cortland are my favorite), an assortment of vegetables, canned goods and local crafts. On weekends they offer tractor rides, and on Maine Apple Weekend they offer wagon rides pulled through the orchard by draft horses. We went through our first half bushel so quickly this year that we made a second trip for another...
