Aloha Camp will change a child's life. I know it changed mine. People will say camp helps kids "find themselves", but Aloha goes further and lets kids be themselves--their true selves. I think pre-teen and teenage girls know themselves pretty darn well, but having a place where they can be themselves is key. Aloha is that place. The best part? When you give space and support for girls to be themselves you find yourself in a community of kind, inclusive, happy, and empathetic people. I only wish everyone could spend their summers at Aloha!

Over my years as both a camper and a counselor, Aloha has given me strength, confidence, lifelong friendships, and skills that have and will continue to carry me for the rest of my life. Aloha is unique in the way that girls are able to take risks and step out of their comfort zones because they feel safe and supported enough to do so. It is a truly incredible place, and any girl is lucky to experience the magic of a summer there. Also, there is nothing quite like waking up to this view all summer long!

Best camp ever! Our daughter went for the entire program (7 weeks) and came back, so thankful, happy and with a love for nature

I don’t know if I have words that match the feelings to truly express my gratitude for the opportunity you gave Maya this summer. She loved loved LOVED Aloha. When I picked her up on the last day, her first words were “please sign me up again so I don’t miss out on a spot”. The three weeks she spent in this magical camp, she was allowed to safely be who she is. Her words … “I just didn’t feel any pressure.” Three weeks of building confidence and 'I CAN' by learning how to build a fire, testing outdoor survival skills, and creating beautiful art by throwing clay on the wheel...three weeks of sleeping in a platform tent to appreciate the beauty of the crisp air, the wonder of sleeping under the stars, the rise and fall of the sun...three weeks of feeling safe enough among a group of girls to shed the outer layers of fear to shine her light by experiencing inclusivity, happiness for each other's successes, and hugs and encouragement in times of failure. Just to name a few. She had that all, and it was beautiful....

Aloha Camp has helped me grow as a person. Since the first day I arrived at camp, expecting to be there for 3.5 weeks (I stayed for 7) 3 years ago, I have changed and grown and learned. The community is a safe place to be pushed outside of your comfort zone. You learn invaluable skills that can be, and are applied to life back in what we call at camp "the real world." The skills I've learned at Aloha range from how to kayak, dive, row crew, throw pottery, confront issues, and be a better friend. Even though it seems cliché, my camp self is my best self. I can't imagine my life without the Aloha experience every summer-- sleeping in tents, wearing green and white, and living at the will of bugle calls. Coincidentally the things which made me hesitant to attend Aloha my first summer are the things I love the...

My daughter had a wonderful summer last year, returning after a two-year hiatus after having spent five summers there.  She was unsure about going back after being away but decided she wanted to take a chance because she missed camp. From the moment she arrived everyone from the director to the campers welcomed her and made her transition back to camp seamless. She initially signed up for a half session but by the second week asked to stay for the full summer! Aloha is a camp that truly lives its mission.  I can't think of a better gift then the confidence a girl gains at Aloha, learning to be both self reliant and live as a member of a strong and empowering community. I am so happy that she returned to camp and will never have any regrets that she missed out when...
