Review for Five Lakes Centre in Fairmont, MN ⭐️⭐️ Unfortunately, Five Lakes Centre has seen better days. What was once a thriving shopping hub has turned into a shell of its former self. Stores have been closing left and right, and now, with the loss of the last decent store, it feels like the mall is no longer serving the community the way it used to. Walking through, it’s hard not to feel a sense of disappointment. The building itself is dated, and the lack of variety in shops makes it clear that this mall is struggling to stay relevant. It’s sad to see a space with so much potential go to waste, especially in a town like Fairmont that could really benefit from vibrant retail options. Hopefully, the owners or city will consider revitalizing this space into something the community can enjoy again — perhaps through new stores, local vendors, or repurposing it entirely. Until then, it’s hard to recommend this mall to anyone looking for a quality shopping experience.

The mall is an interesting place to visit. They have the China buffet in the mall now. So that's cool. The inside is very spacious and well lite. There's a GNC, print shop, jewelry store, Dunham's sporting goods, Sterling Drug, a nail salon, a book donation center, social security office, and Posh office. They have a new play place in there. By the social security office and the mail salon which is nice so the kids aren't so bored. The post office is also in the mall on the southwest end. The workforce center is also in the mall. They do have public restrooms. They have a lot of open stores though. Could be a great place for a business wanting more regular foot traffic.

Some of the bigger stores in the Mall are closing. ... JC Penney, Sears appliances, a grocery store.... It used to be full of stores, busy with people and bustling. However, over the last 40 years, it has really lost so much. The main stores there now are Sterling Drug (a really nice variety of items & gifts), US Post Office, Workforce Center, Social Security Office, China Buffet, True Value Hardware, and a fitness center. There are no nice department stores any more. There is nothing there that draws in the people. It's so sad to see the Mall...
