I was torn between a 1 Star Review or higher. I am good customer of this store. I spent a large sum of $ for my company, and also my personal land over the past year. I purchased two pairs of work pants on 12/11/24. I went to the same store yesterday, and noticed that the pants went on sale for 30% off on 12/12/24 - 12/16/24. When I checked out with the items I was purchasing yesterday, including more pants, I asked the cashier if I was able to get the discount for the pants I purchased the day before the sale. She said I would have to return them, and re-purchase the. I had them in my car so I went out to get them. When I came back in, I went to a different cashier that was available, and she told me she did not think I could do that. She asked a coworker, who said "NO, we can not let you return the pants and rebuy them. I asked why not, and she said it was policy. I told her I had never delt with a store that would not honor a sale price, so soon after a purchase. I said I was disappointed and would just return the pants. She said she could not allow me to return them....what??? I had the receipt, and they still had the tags on them. She refused still. She finally called the manager on a radio and said "I have a customer here who thinks she can return pants to get the sale price". He responded back, a little terse, but to go ahead and do it. The cashier that did not know the answer to begin with, was very nice and professional, and processed my refund. Her coworker that she had asked, and who contacted the manager, proceeded to go to the cashier that told me I would have to return them, and rebuy them, and started to talk poorly of me, and what I wanted to do. I said to her "I am standing right here, and can hear you. What you are doing is very rude and unprofessional". She said "well the manager has never allowed this before". I said that is still no excuse to treat a good customer, or any customer this way. I said thank you to my cashier that processed the refund, and told her to tell the manager thank you. I felt very disrespected, embarrassed, and humiliated in front of other customers. I was at no time rude, or unprofessional in my questions. I have spent about 3K in Big R in this month alone, and had to go through this for a small refund. I will NOT got back to the Falcon Big R in the future. I will go to the Colorado Springs store where they have always been helpful and professional, or make the trip to...
Read moreUpdate from my last review that is below,
Connie, the store manager has really taken to heart, my business with this store. She has spent substantial time working with me , placing my special orders, and earning my business back. She truly does care about her store and customers. I will continue to avoid Tom , one of the assistant managers. He should only be dealing with employees and leaving the customer service to Connie. I will continue to shop at this store but being very careful to be very clear on my expectations, and holding them to what they tell me in various
I have been spending money at this store for several years now. Not just a causual buyer. I several thousand dollars a year here. I recently went shopping here on black Friday 2024 to make a large Ag. Equipment purchase. I was told by the customer service desk I had until the following Monday to purchase a prefiert squeeze chute and still get the 15%off deal. I went home and thought about this deal over the weekend. They even convinced me to have them deliver it for an additional 80 bucks. On cyber Monday I decided to make the purchase. I walked into the store went to customer service and asked to order/pay for the squeeze chute. I was told that the deal was only valid for in stock items only. On black Friday they didn't have it in stock but that was not a problem. Now on Monday it's a problem. They refused to honor the deal we had verbally and suggested I go to a different store to make this almost 4000.00 purchase. So that's exactly what I did I ordered the same exact squeeze chute on bigr.com and it was available in Elizabeth, co I went to pick up this squeeze chute almost an hour drive away. What I found at the eleizbeth store was a new squeeze chute that have been sitting in the yard for a long time as it had some dark rust and broken down paint on it. The Elizabeth store told me that's how they come from the factory "pre rusted" to wrap this up this was a horrible buying experience and to top it off I paid new price for Equipment that had moderate rust signs being...
Read moreI will first say that the checkers and MOST of the staff are very nice and helpful. I would give a 5 star there. This is a year long review as I kept hoping there would be positive improvements. First large purchase. Mini ATV. Nuts and bolts and parts started falling off in 2 days. Took it back. Junior mgr. at the time wouldn’t take it back. Policy. Checker never told me that policy. Finally corporate said yes but mgr. charged my credit card a 250.00 restocking fee. Never told me. Gun purchase- or tried. Manager of that department passed me over twice for a hard to get revolver- on order- mmmm, maybe because I’m not one of his “regulars “. Claimed he called me both times. Absolutely not true. Third purchase which proved I should not have- an electric fence set up. I had no knowledge at all- and neither did the customer service manager and he admitted he knew absolutely nothing. And no one in the store did either. I winged it. Wasted my money. Here’s my point- I go there because it is the closet feed and farm supply to me. 36 miles round trip. I’m new to this. I need a store to have knowledge when I don’t. I buy my feed, my hay, my tack, dog supplies, boots, my chicks and ducks from Big R. Managers that are called on to help, should actually help me. ( why do they have so many managers?) I understand that this used to be a very good place to go when the owners were still alive. I could rant a lot longer, but not needed. Truly, if there was a closer place for me, it would be first...
