Woolsey's Food Center — Local services in Falcon

We go to Woolsey's around every 6 or so months. Call in the morning to order meats and their ground dog food. They have regular and mixed dog food with veggies and eggshells. Most of the meat we order is ground, hamburger, country sausage and Italian sausage, delicious! The bacon, however, is the best we've ever had. But what we enjoy most about Woolsey's is the people who work there. Always friendly, always helpful, always respectful. It's a small store in a small town and it's one of our favorite places to visit. Today while we were there, we were offered ice cream for the trip home to Peyton, which is only about 10 miles away. So if you're tired of stores in the city and want some wonderful customer service as well as a store full of smiles, take a drive out to Calhan and enjoy your mood the rest of the day! TK and...

I am giving Wooseys Grocery a five star review, because they try harder and deserve it ... in the six years I have been living in the community, they have continuously remodeled the store ... and I appreciate that they use their profits to improve MY shopping experience ... considering how small Calhan is, I think it is the right size and appreciate the genuine small- town friendliness of its employees and owner. I first shopped there for the high quality of meat they sell ... and the great prices when it goes on sale - now I do almost all my shopping at Woosey's because of the convenience of NOT having to go to town and deal with food exposed to crowds of people from all over the globe and waste my time and gas . Salt to needle—this grocery store in Calhan has just about everything you could need! From school supplies to Indian food, birthday cakes, ice cream, meat products, hair dryers, vehicle-related items, vegetables, and even coffee, it’s impressive how well-stocked this small-town store is. There is a pizza and chicken sandwich cafe inside.

It’s an older store, and prices are a bit higher compared to city grocery stores, but that’s expected in a town like this. While I was there, I noticed a steady flow of customers, and kids were happily grabbing ice cream from the machine—always a good sign of a community spot!
