Social Security Administration — Local services in Falmouth

I called today on 07/06/2023, talked to a lady over the phone that has a very condescending tone, didn’t let me say anything other than the security questions and hanged up one me saying that she knows everything I need to know. I had to do a name correction (name change for them) because the messed up my first SSA, they cut my name short by 4 letters. Now I have to be hanging in the air as they can’t re-issue my card until the immigration corroborates the info because it’s “a name change”. I do understand there is a process, but at the same time you can’t work in customer service if you have this attitude. I had called previously 3 times and had very good experience with the agents there, but this one was bad. I was nice and understanding, like a human being should be, but it just got me being hanged up on. I didn’t even had a chance to get her name but she did had a raspy voice and seems like she is in her 50s. Very unprofessional attitude and leaves you with a butter sweet taste after the call. With such customer service, no wonder you guys are getting such bad feedback. Usually I am not writing bad reviews, but for this one I had to. I hope SSA will work with their employees to improve the experience, otherwise the ratings of 3⭐️ won’t hold...

I called different Social Security offices trying to get help. All I got was the run around. A co-worker said to call the Falmouth Social Security Office. I am not sure, but I believe the girls name was Melissa that I spoke to. She could not have been more understanding or nicer. She listened to me and helped me without question. I just turned 65 on July 25th. I was just trying to get information on what I Ineeded to do for Medicare/Medicaid. She was very professional, clear, and concise. She verified that I had enough quarters in to qualify for hospitalization coverage at no cost. She said that I still needed to apply. On top of all that, the office was 5 min from closing and she said "you know what? It only takes a mimute" let me take care of it for you. I could not have been more pleased. Thank you for a job...

Filled out all the application gave him all the information and more paid $44 been waiting since November for my replacement of a social security guy. What do I get in the mail somebody else’s paperwork mailed it back to Falmouth office what’s up with you guys?
