I was selected to do a random drug test and was asked to go to Sanford Occupational Health to get it done. I printed off my paper and rode with my mother since we were running errands. I didn’t think it would take more than a half an hour to an hour. I gave the receptionist my paper and didn’t get any estimation on a wait time. People who were also getting random drug tests came in after me and I heard them being told the wait time would be 30min to an hour. “That’s not so bad” I thought to myself. Those people slowly started going ahead of me. At an hour and a half after arriving I went up and asked if there was something wrong with my paperwork or if it got lost because people were going ahead of me. “Everything’s fine” they responded. 2 more hours passed during which time I went up multiple times to ask what was going on. Finally I went up and sternly expressed that I had been waiting for over 3 hours with my mom waiting in the car. No time update. No nothing. My complaint was finally recognized and they grabbed my paperwork (a single paper) which they then informed me was missing a barcode. None of the other facilities required one but the almighty Sanford does. That would have been nice to know over 3 hours ago! Isn’t it cruel also to have someone drink fluids to take a drug test and make them hold their pee for over 3 hours?! And not even inform them of the wait time?!? How long does it take to pee in a cup?!? Literally over 3 hours to rip a piss into a a tiny plastic vessel… by the time I got home my bladder had been traumatized for 4 hours. The sweet relief of my porcelain toilet bowl couldn’t overcome the despair suffered at Sanford...
Read moreCame here for a work related injury. I was hardly walking due to injuring my back at work, during my visit I ask the doctor when she would recommend me going back to work-assuming I would have a day or two off- to my surprise I was told I could go back to work that day. Are you serious?! I was so disappointed and disgusted with the fact that the doctor made recommendations based on workman's comp over her patients health. I even asked her if this was a recommendation from a doctor or a recommendation from a doctor who's working to for workman's comp. She stated "They don't like us to give time off unless it's absolutely necessary and since you're not disabled you don't need to miss any work". Wow! I was put on light-duty which at my work means I lose pay, I would rather have been excused from work and used my PTO and received my regular pay. I go back in today and I am still struggling, but better than I was when I was there on Thursday. Hopefully this appointment goes better than the last one and the doctor is able to help...
Read moreFirst I will say that everyone I interacted with was very friendly. Other than that, the experience was pretty awful.
I went here for a pre-employment drug screen and physical ability test. I had an appointment and made sure to drink a bunch of fluids before arriving so I could pee. I actually really had to go when I arrived and was disappointed that they first wanted me to do the physical ability test. Having to pee so bad made it quite uncomfortable but I made it through. Then, when I went back to the office they had me take a seat and wait.. and wait.. and wait.. I waited 1.5 hours. I was about to throw in the towel and reschedule because I was so uncomfortable when, FINALLY, they called my name. What is the point of even having an appointment if you can't get all the scheduled tasks completed at the time of the appointment?
I'd recommend peeing before you arrive and drink a bottle of water while you wait...
