One of the best crystal stores in all of California!!! I have been collecting specimens since I was 5 and studying them since I was 18! I have been shopping here for years Over the years I have bought thousands of dollars of pieces here!! I particularly collect UV, phosphorescent, dichroism, pleochroism, and tenebrescent minerals and crystals. Along with rare combination crystals and heavily terminated crystals and this store always has amazing selection on all of them. I have a very picky taste when it comes to the gems crystals and minerals I collect. It’s hard to find crystal stores with the selection Gary has let alone the knowledge of them. I have been to many crystal stores up and down the state over the years and this store has the kind of selection you don’t often see elsewhere! they have selection on crystals gems and minerals that have been out of circulation for decades!! Gary’s lapidary also is the most affordable store around 100% of inventory is under market prices! One day I actually asked why all the specimens were so affordable and Janice and Gary told me they want everyone to be able to be apart of the community and be able to afford what calls to them most whether it be be for a spiritual purpose, a piece to cut and shape, or collect! Heartless, almost hateful people. It's run by two people, a man and a woman. I called them today. I said hi, and plainly asked for a little bit of help. I said I have fallen on hard times, and have nothing to eat. I have the reminints of a coin collection that I had years ago. One 1912 barber dime, and one 1944 mercury dime. Both of them silver. I told her the pawn shop will pay $2.50 for the 44 and $3.50 for the 1912, because of the silver weight. I asked if they would give me $5 for the both of them. She said I am not a pawn shop. I know that but the pawn shop is not open until tomorrow morning and I didn't want to wait till tomorrow to eat, and was hoping they could do me a huge favor even though... she cut me off mid sentence and said flatly, I'm sorry. I am not a pawn shop, and I don't even have the authority to buy anything. I am not the owner. I said thank you anyway and she hung up. I have recently been learning about crystals and was looking if there was any crystal shops near me. I came upon this one so I went. When I went inside I was stunned. Even thought the store was small it was just so beautiful. I didn’t get the chance to ask for her name but there was a lady working there and she was so nice. The lady was so sweet and helped me learn some of the properties and meaning of some crystals I was attracted too. If you are into crystals I definitely recommend coming here.
