I frequent pawn shops always in search of great deals on firearms and dvds, occasionally a chainsaw, power tools, or good mower... My trip to this particular location gave me mixed feelings or else I would have given it 5 stars, the service mainly influenced my rating... I had my eye on a Glock 42 and a Remington 700 deer rifle. While looking over the Glock .380 I nicely asked if I could do a minor field strip (3 second disassembly process and a 2 second assembly process) a very very easy/quick non invasive way to check wear and tear on a Glock pistol. The clerk got very defensive, gave a sour face and said a few unnecessary things so I calmly gave the handgun back and said no thank you I will have to pass. Needless to say I never got the chance to see the Remington. I cant comfortably buy a used firearm without first checking the condition. All that said, moving on to the other items everything (attitudes) changed, I checked out some very nice coins and looked at some decent guitars, while looking i did strike up a decent conversation with the clerk. I did end up leaving the store with a few purchased items. Long story short, from my experience and what I learned as a customer... Its a good little shop if you need a pawn or loan or some new tools or air conditioning window unit but not for guns... Shame though really, I had 950$ in my pocket for a couple new guns... I did find a n.i.b. G26 and 30-06 elsewhere that day for even cheaper. last comments, this place beats Cash America in Farmington hands down. Their firearm service is absolutely ridiculous Would I return here? Yes. But...
Read moreYes, be very, very careful about this place.I traveled over forty five minutes After speaking with them on the phone and asking if athey pawned generators ..not sale but, pawned they confirmed they did. I got down there and because there was a small amount of fraying on the pull cord to start the generator they said no, and I had a receipt. And the pistol I brought they said no, because there was a small rust spot. Also, the employees to appear very unsure about whether or not they can actually pawn anything without the owner's approval. I don't know if this owner has terrified. Or bullied his employees to the point where they don't feel safe making an actual SAIL or pawn. But the gentleman I spoke to was very unsure of himself. At first he said he was gonna pawn for $200. And that was fine. I have a job. I gave them my phone number. My job reference if they wanted to call and verify because I work in the medical profession. Idk if the owner is mean or bullys his employees but this gentleman freaked and changed his mind and said no never mind the owner may not like that.I mean that's not just business sense. So make sure that you pawn brand NEW items at this pawn...
