My husband and I went alone for date night, thank gosh this wasn't the fair we brought our daughters to. For he and I to ride the Ferris wheel once (which goes foolishly fast now!!) It would have cost us $15. Seriously, literally $15!!! We instead walked around and people watched (the animals were few, goats and chickens..) we bought candy apples ($6/each lol) and did our annual dough boy and Turkey leg. Played a few games and the guy working it was pushing, basically saying if my husband loved me he'd win me to big prize and throw 10 darts for $20.. It takes trading in 3 large prizes 3 times to win one of those! No way! I spoke up and told my husband I would think him foolish to spend $20 to throw a few darts! Thinking next year is time to start a new fair tradition, elsewhere. Just to enter the fair was $16 for us two and it was the last night which was some discount thing. Never mind trying to watch the derbies.. People were in the stands and setting up lawn chairs in front of the fence/walkway THREE hours before. Some even earlier! My view (even though I stood out of the way) was of a boy that was about 8 years old, sitting on a guys shoulders playing.. He had zero interest in watching or doing anything but floundering around on his shoulders so nobody else could see. I have up and we sat on a bench and people watched. I guess that was pretty entertaining. Even the vendors and people working there are just so rude and careless...
Read moreWe went on ride day/bracelet night Wednesday. They were suppose to give us unlimited rides but we had to pay 40 bucks per kid which got us only 38 credits and they blew the points fast and we had to buy more. They scammed us out of twenty dollars. Then staff really didn't wanna make the situation right. My girlfriend was pissed. We asked Shannon for help and she should have told us to choose the ride day option which was 35. They don't tell you cause they are scamming the customers out of money. Shannon did credit us 5 points but we were not refunded the 20$ we were scammed out of. The ride selection was good and they had animals to see. Parking was also ok. And alot of food options but overpriced. The gaming staff also sucker the kids out of points by manipulating them to play games without asking the parents. At one game they screwed our kid out of 20 points without even asking us. He only had 38 points to start. There should be supervisors on site to discuss grievances with. The police were there which also helps us feel safer at the event. But the police were staying out of it as it's not a criminal offense but should be. We got scammed on ride day. Thanks....
