Spring Hollow Farm Market — Local services in Farmville

I drove 40 minutes to visit this wonderful store I heard so much about. However, my experience was very different. I purchased 2 chicken sandwiches that were freshly made and they were great. I also purchased other items that were reasonably priced. Then I saw a sign for a half bushel of yellow squash priced at $9.99. I asked the cashier about the yellow squash because I only saw zucchini in the boxes where the sign was posted. She stated if you want the yellow squash, we have the half bushel in the back. I said okay and I took the sandwiches and other items to my car and returned to get the half bushel of yellow squash. When I returned there was a gentleman standing in the aisle where the sign was posted and I asked him if I could get the yellow squash and he said “what?” So, I pointed to the sign and he said “Ohhh, yellow squash.” Then he says I can’t sell it to you for $9.99 that’s last week’s price. I can sell it to you for $15.99 and I said “your sign says $9.99.” Basically, he would not sell it for the posted price and did not remove the sign, so I just left the store. I could have made a big deal out of this, but I just left and will not...

I just cant say enough about Spring Hollow. I just love everything about them. Produce, meats,flowers, auctions, the harware store, and my most loved when i visit, is their little shop where they sell fabric and all kinds of neat stuff. I've been coming here since the first day they opened. I'm on a fixed income, and their prices are very reasonable, especially if youre buying in bulk, which i do because it keeps me from overspending at grocery chains. I thought I loved this store after the first time I stopped so while passing through again we stopped so I could show my daughter this great store! However, the offensively stinky fella that was working the register thought he should keep an eye on us, for theft I suppose, and put heavy bottles of soda on top of the fresh bread and baked goods I purchased which crushed everything.
