Lost Creek Shoe Shop is a freaking 10! The binocular and spotting scope section is a dream made true for birders or nature enthusiasts wishing to upgrade to the top of the line optics companies. What a blessing to be able to line up and test the different brands to get the best one specific to your visual preference.

A lot of the optics are pricey but it's a once in a lifetime purchase. Live a little people.

They carry thermal optics which have been being used for hunting for many years. Wake up birders, these things are GAME CHANGERS!!!

The staff here are always SUPER friendly and helpful making a tough decision a little easier.

Went out to look and see what they had. Their assortment impressive. I wanted for birdwatching. The owner went thru about a dozen pair of nocs with me, mostly used. No pressure - none. Very knowledgable and patient and kept process simple and gave me the opportunity to decide what was right for me, not him. Viewing area allowed nice comparisons. I spent a bit more than I hoped on a used pair, but very very pleased with experience. Would highly recommend. They are outside mcallisterville in juniata county, (pa). Amish owned. I was totally impressed with this store. They don't have a website, don't do facebook, and if you call them you have to leave a message and they'll call you back as they don't have a phone in the store. I was there to buy binoculars, and the selection is better than anything else I've seen and prices were better too.

As for shoes and boots, again, a bigger selection than anything I've seen. They also do shoe repairs too.

The staff was really friendly...
