Depot Exchange — Local services in Fennimore

Easy to spot in the row of storefronts on Lincoln Avenue. We were able to park right in front of the store. The store is large encompassing 2 storefronts basically. They have your typical thrifting treasures with very reasonable prices. Upon this visit their choice of stemware & glasses was large; I found a set of 10 crystal wine glasses for $4.50, which I have been on the hunt for. My daughters found clothes, books, a mug. Lots of varied thrifting goodies. This was our first visit here. I am currently only giving the review 4 stars as I felt the cashier was a bit rude. When I brought up the box of wine glasses, & asked if I could keep them at the counter until payment, she seemed a bit put off by my request. Maybe she is new & didn't know what to do, or maybe she actually was irritated I asked for the courtesy. I then saw a showcase with kitchen knives, of which I asked to see a "bagged set" and she didn't seem to understand which one I wanted and yelled loudly, "which one", to which I replied the "bagged ones". In short, this woman could be more customer service oriented and I might be raving about my experience. Will I go back to this thrift store? Probably, but because of the pricing, not this cashier. The darker hair colored manager was AWFUL! She had been rude to me and my parents visiting town, my mother has dementia and had a hard time forming words, and the manager had gotten annoyed with it and cut her off to tell her she has to get back to work and proceeded to sit behind the counter on her phone.
