Iâve been there many times. They have a decent variety of stuff and an okay location, but I have a few issues. However, many things there are way over priced. I mean extremely overpriced. $12 for a 20 pack of regular 3 inch screws! And two of the screws were defective in the 2/3 boxes I bought. They have a decent selection of tools but itâs mostly off brand stuff such as Vulcan. However the Milwaukee stuff they sell is way marked up. Like 25% more than Home Depot or Loweâs. Stupid expensive!!! they Also sell fishing stuff. Those prices are a little bit better for the most part, except for the tackle boxes. $14 for a 4x8 little plastic off brands box. Bethany marine and auto sells the name brand Plano for $8. They also sell rods but there is such a small selection itâs stupid and they are all low quality rods. they sell hunting stuff as well but itâs a very very limited selection and again, everything is marked up. Honestly I would just drive 15 minutes to Kellyâs in millsboro if I actually wanted well priced quality gear. with a selection that small I wouldnât even consider it a sporting goods store. And lastly, the STIHL stuff. Service is poor and they have a very limited selection again. Iâm know itâs a hardware store not a big box store but still it is way too limited and again and again, way overpriced. Honestly STIHL should not allow hockers to be a dealer. They are a poor representation for STIHL and STIHL deserves much better. Just donât come here. Go to a big box store or tractor supply for hardware garden, painting and power tools. Go to Bethany marine and auto for fishing and auto parts. And go to Kellyâs outdoors if you need hunting stuff. I must say, it is conveniently located and they do have some other cool...
Read moreToday at the new store I waited in line for a while to purchase an item. Ok it is what it is. I asked if they sold lumber to which I was directed to the warehouse. Upon my arrival three gentlemen were outside but none were interested in assisting me. The person who begrudgingly helped me named "Bob the Builder" must of been offended when I asked him what the actual dimensions of a 1x4 were? In a very condescending tone, he kept repeating 1x 4. I do know that the real width is not 4 " but not sure of the true length. I then asked "Bob the Builder " the price as to which he didn't know. He told me to go back wait in line and ask them. I again asked if he could just call and explained I had just waited in line, could he just call and ask. He became totally indifferent at that point and flat out said Nope, they are too busy he's not calling them. When I conveyed to him that I would not do that, his response was something to the tune of good don't buy it and "why don't you just go back to where you came from" . What does that even mean? His verbal attack was totally unprovoked .This person was very rude and totally unprofessional. I will never patronize any Hocker establishment ever again. If I could give them a real assessment it would be in...
Read moreGreat service, great selection. I needed lumber for a weekend project and mistakenly thought I would get a better price at the big lumber yard in the same town. Not only was the big store more expensive but they also will not cut lumber for you. I asked G&E if the would cut some deck boards in half for me and it was no problem and only $2.00 per cut, much cheaper than renting a truck. Their hardware selection is extensive and they are very knowledgeable if you need help. I have gone here for years and just realized how good they truly are. I won't go...
