Would never suggest anyone to golf this course!!!! Went out golfing here with 2 tee times and 1 group of 4 and a group of 3, only a couple players were decent golfers the rest of us were just having fun trying our best. After completely the front 9 we decided to do a scramble on the back 9 so we golfed as a group of 7. It was a average Friday with mid day golf, steady flow of people but by no means busy. After golfing hole 10 the owner (so he said) came up to us and asked us to split up after we had already teed off on 11. He wouldn't even listen to our logic of how much faster we were golfing as a scramble then as 2 separate groups following each other. His logic was that we didnt know anything about golf and it wad a busy course, and o yeah the next group was 2 holes behind us. We were going to finish the hole like we had started it but before we even got to the green he was back and furious that we didn't split in the middle of the hole and told us we were all going to have to leave. We being adults and actual reasonable human beings listened and left. I got no refund and the owner was no where to be found back at the club house to discuss his issues. If he knew anything about golf our business he would learn how to approach people and sometimes listening won't hurt especially to a group of customers....Golf wonders why it's ratings and following is dwindling...hmm because of golf courses like this one that if your not retired and golfing in groups of 2 your a nuisance and a hassle. Very bad experience will...
Read moreI just want to take a moment to tell the world how much I appreciate being able to play golf at Balmoral. Our family has been vacationing yearly in the area for over 70 years and my own love of golf developed there. I have vivid memories of playing the original 9 hole course and witnessing the establishment of the second nine back in the mid sixties.
I consider Balmoral to be my home course even though I live 1000 miles away. Over the years I have played many fine courses, including several in the top 100, but Balmoral will always be my favorite. Although many players will find it’s yardage short by todays standards, it always provides opportunities for creative decision making and skillful shot making. The greens are very challenging and the addition of a roller has made them even more so.
The most important thing I want to say is how much I have appreciated the Balmoral ownership and the entire staff for years of kindness and accommodating service. There has never been a day that our golfing family hasn’t felt welcomed and appreciated.
I can’t wait to tee it up again next...
Read moreWhat a great course! Fun to play with, but has its own unique challenges! There are a lot of opportunities to make some great plays! The course even has its own par 3 course. During my time the course was very well taken care of and the greens played very nice!!
The staff was super friendly, and the owner was very accommodating given the circumstances at the course at that time. Don’t hesitate to stop by and play a round! It’s super affordable and a very decent rate of play!
I will be back! Thanks...
