We have considered our trips to Dakin Farm to be a highlight of every trip we make to Vermont. We have always made it a point to stop and stock up on our favorites. Christmas shopping happens all year long! This last trip, however, left my family and me very disappointed. We value the quality found at Dakin Farm. When we found that they were carrying a line from The Vermont Flannel Company, we assumed quality and fair pricing. To our shock, the latter was absolutely despicable and anything but fair. A flannel shirt was doubled in price. If you travel just a 1/4 mile down the road to The Vermont Flannel Company store, or shop them online, you will find that Dakin Farm is robbing its customers. Sadly, we will no longer be customers of Dakin Farm. Dakin Farm is not the store I had categorized as exceptional. Thank goodness we didn't buy and instead traveled that 1/4 mile to visit Justin at The Vermont Flannel Company. He provided excellent and lively customer service, appreciated our business and helped us find the best pricing for everything ($600+) we bought. Let Dakin Farm be a view from your rear-view mirror. ย ย ย Read moreWent to VT on vacation last summer and tried to find stores that we could get gifts for family. After finding a couple flops, we found this one, and OMG did we hit the jackpot!!! We were like kids in a candy shop, so many things, cheese, meats, honey, maple syrups, jam, jellies, butters, wines, spirits, soooo much more!! The apple butter is so amazing as well as their assortment of honeys! We stuffed our coolers with so much stuff! Well this Christmas I was curious to see if we could get Dakin stuff online and to my surprise they have an online store. Shipping is fast and customer service is A+. Oh and packaging is superb!! Everyone at the store was so friendly and Eric who I talked to online was the best! Thank you and we will definitely be back and tell everyone that visits...
ย ย ย Read moreOrdinarily I wouldโve rated this place higher. BUT I had 2 bottles of syrup that broke after I left the store. This was my fault undoubtedly. I called and explained and Michael told me they would replace them for me. I drove over a half hour and they would not replace these even though I was buying larger bottles. After talking to the manager she was not very customer friendly! My words meant nothing. I explained I wouldโve never drove a half hour to return these had I been told nothing would be done. She was less than customer friendly keeping it short. Although I bought bigger containers and spent more money all she offered was 15% off. I WILL NEVER RETURN AS CUSTOMER LOYALTY AND SATISFACTION MEANS...
