Last year I called and asked for black austrolorps. The guy said they had them. When I got there I told the owner they weren't what I ordered. He shoved them in a box and said they were Black Austrolorps. But they were Americanas. This year my mom called and asked for a dozen barred Plymouth rocks. When she got there he was giving 1/2 of the chicks he promised her to someone else. When I said something of this in a phone call while ordering a pig feeder, the owner argued about it, then gave us a feeder so full of grease we had to spend an hour wiping it out before using it. Beware of the big old man behind the register. He seems very knowledgeable and I'm sure he knows what he's doing, but he will over charge you if you're not paying attention. I went in there to buy three chicks and a small bag of starter feed. He charged me for five chicks. I went back in to get a refund and he only refunded me for one chick, not two. This is a great small business that is absolutely worthwhile to patronize. They sell a lot of different things, but I’ve really only been here to pick up animal feed. Their selection is pretty good. They have custom mix formulas to really help your animals nutrition depending on the animal or the time of year. They have feed for your chickens, goats, ducks, cats, dogs, pigs, horses, and cows.
