I have SERIOUS separation anxiety when it comes to my fur-babies. I had to board them for the first time ever and was so nervous about it. I chose Five Points because it had so many good reviews and figured it must be a good place if so many people had something positive to say about it. Needless to say, it lived up to its reputation.
Making a reservation was simple. They require an upfront $25 reservation fee but this amount goes toward your reservation and if you end up canceling your reservation they keep this amount on file for you as a future credit (never expires). I found this place to be affordable considering you get such good service .The nightly rate for my first dog (I have 2 mini poodles) was $22 and $20 a night for my second pup. So total it was $42 a night but actually we got a military discount so it actually ended up being like $37 a night for both my dogs. Their last day there I had the option to either pay the $37 nightly rate or I could pay $20 for them to both get baths. So it cost less to get them bathed ($10 each) than it cost to pay the nightly rate. So my babies were returned to me nice and clean! They smelled so good when I picked them up. I also like that they have the option to do a late pick-up (after hours) even though that option is kind of pricy ($65 after 5:00 pm). The customer service was great! The front desk rep, Jennifer, did a wonderful job at assuring me that my babies would be in great care while I was away. It really helped calm my nerves as I was truly on the verge of tears. I appreciated that she said I could call at any time to get updates on them and gave me a report card for them when I came to pick them up. The report card had details about their stay to include sweet comments from the staff about their experience doggy sitting. They also gave me a tour of the place and showed me where my kiddos were staying.
The only reason I did not give Five Points 5 stars is because I wish the late pick up wasn't so pricy and I wish that you could pick up your dog anytime on Sunday (as opposed to 4-6). I also wish the regular suites had doors instead of a wired fence. Other than that, this place is great! I certainly plan to leave my fur-babies with them the next time I travel and I plan to recommend them to other friends and family who need to...
Read moreStarted taking my dogs here. My corgi isnât the sweetest dude but theyâve worked with him with no issue. And our newest dog whoâs a labradooodle and sheâs the reason Iâm here today writing this Now I rarely ever go out of my way to leave reviews Iâm just lazy lol BUT TODAYY my girl had her second appointment four weeks after her first just what the groomer recommended since she has a lot of hair. This time I wanted her shaved because there was just too much hair and so I brought my mop in we talked about what I wanted done wasnât expecting for my jaw to touch the floor upon pick up ! đ she turned my mop into a princess and I can not get over how amazing she smells and looks like a completely different dog so beautiful. And not only that my MaeLou is very skittish and shy still she gets so excited going there now and will jump out the car and walk almost up to the door before she realizes she was on. The leash and then says hold on you not domesticating me right now but she still excited ! sheâs so happy upon pick up too and walks with them on the leash which is hell for me right now to get her to do. But sheâll Jim o around walking to the car like she had a good time and that means the world to me knowing sheâs not being mistreated like Iâve heard other places do when getting groomed. I can say these people love what they do and are soooo kind and gentle and listen to the owners request and follow and work with what they want to the T and then throw some razzle dazzle in there and make it even better ! I couldnât be more happier with our services here MaeLou will continue to go here...
Read moreIf I could give this place minus 5 I would. We were asked to give a review by email that looks like it goes to all past customers. Well, I'll give an honest one. We had never been here before. We brought Ruby, a very friendly sweet mixed breed female. I have no idea what happened but she seemed terrified and completely demoralized when she came home. She cowered in a corner next to the sofa and shook for an entire day and then followed me (dog mom) around for 2 weeks and wouldn't let me away from her. She changed from a friendly outgoing pup to a scared mess. Also, she is totally housebroken. I took her favorite mattress with her for her stay. It was clean. They ruined it by putting the entire mattress, not just the cover through the washing machine and returned it a messy damp lump. Why did it need to be washed? The attendant said "there, we made it nice and clean for you". When we checked in we were promised she would get several potty breaks during the day. I don't think she could have. They try to upsell you at the front counter for extremely expensive upgrades like "couch time" or an extra walk. The front desk people are friendly, but the care has to be awful from the results. Please, please don't ever take your pet there. You may ask if I complained. I did not. Since Ruby could not give us an account of her treatment, it would just lead to a senseless argument. Better just not to ever go near...
