Karen and I attended the first ever Downtown Asheville Winery Walk, run by Blue Ridge Wine Tours. This walking tour of three winery tasting rooms was fun and educational, as all three wineries were new to us. Led by the knowledgeable and personable Kelly Denson, we tasted several wines paired with food in each room. The staff offered insights about the varietals chosen to thrive in the microclimates of the Blue Ridge, with grapes and blends unfamiliar to us, very different from the usual Chardonnays, pinots, and Cabernets. The wines that these produced are unusual, interesting, and often delicious. Kelly offered a surprising number of offbeat historical insights about the city as we walked. A stop at an art gallery midway through the tour added another dimension to an already very unique experience. I believe Kelly and her team are creating another only-in-Asheville experience...

Her attention to detail was impressive, giving a commerce experience a personal touch. Then, when it came time to enjoy our Private Driving Tour, Jennifer arrived ready to help us celebrate. Our guide enhanced our experience at every opportunity.

From the moment we arrived, I felt celebrated greeted with flowers and even surprised with a birthday cake during lunch! Our guide, Kerry, was the sweetest and truly the best. You can tell she genuinely loves what she does and takes joy in creating unforgettable moments for her guests.
