I have visited this store twice. Both times it was a horrible experience. On a previous visit I was there to make a donation. The woman at the front told me to take the donation to the curtain. Since I didnât know where that was I asked her to take me there. On our way to the curtain she stopped to talk to someone else about the store layout, leaving me wondering where the curtain was. I set the donation in a chair and left the store.
On todayâs visit while I was looking at the jewelry display case one of the store employees bumped into me so hard I nearly was knocked down. Her response to me was âI guess I move too fastâ. No apology was given. Just a short time later another employee shoved her way past me as I was regaining my balance. No apology. With that I decided to leave.
I would not recommend this store. They definitely are not interested in customers coming to that store. Do yourself a huge favor by avoiding Hand of Hope store. Shop somewhere else where you are not an inconvenience to the employees focused on tasks rather than serving customers.
NOTE: You made a well thought out response that minimized what happened, however when your employee nearly knocked me over and another employee shoved their way past, those were intentional acts of abuse, not âa negative experienceâ. In both cases a simple apology would have smoothed the situation over yet no apology was forthcoming. Another choice your employees could have made would be to choose a different route to where they were headed rather than just shoving their way through. How do you âintend to make it upâ? My experiences in your store are experiences of abuse. By my continuing to shop your store Iâm agreeing that those actions are acceptable, because they are certainly going to continue. They are not acceptable. Without customer service training, those actions will most definitely continue. I still recommend customers avoid your store and thus avoid abusive behavior from...
Read moreI stopped in after seeing an awesome news story featuring their grand opening. I was touched to learn that the stores mission is to assist disadvantaged youth in the community. Upon entering the store for the first time, I was met with a friendly staff member who explained the set up of the store, one side being the thrift side and the other being the boutique side. I found the store to have a good selection of quality items on both sides of the store. The prices were very reasonable and budget friendly. I had a chance to speak with the owner/founder of the store who was pleasant and an absolute joy to converse with. The mission behind the store is impressive as there is a great need in the community to show disadvantaged youth that someone cares about them and willing to guide them on a path to success. Overall, I plan to visit this store again and will...
