Landmark Food Center — Local services in Flint

They are stocked to the gills with imported meat from Mexico. One should ask themselves when shopping " why does a local grocery in Flint MI need import meat from Mexico? Because its cheaper (and quality isn't good). It's then sold to the customer for 8 to 10 dollars a pound ( during a pandemic). Its not price gouging, but these bandits are taking the term " charge what the market can bear" to another level. Cheap, bulk bought imported meat, sold to a customer base @ premium meat prices, equals big time more profits for them. Which is all that matters to the owners. Chicken is being sold that is not even fully plucked, all kinds of outdated foods sold for discount... foods that can potentially cause sickness. When you see problems such as these, it makes one wonder what else are they doing that's unethical. Not cleaning properly? Following health dept standards? Who knows. But I wonder. These people care not about the products they are giving to the public. We, the public need to start calling these places out and demand better, go elsewhere. I most...

Every time I go into this store I weigh my meats and every time the weight doesn't match what's on the price tag (always in favor of the store never the customer)🤨🤔. Landmark has been in this location for as long as I can remember so I trusted them to do the right thing. The last visit I noticed that the scales that used to be in the meat and produce department have been removed when asked why they were removed the only answer I got was they have them at the register now. So I went and picked five random blocks of chitterlings that they weighed and bagged themselves out of the five four of them were underweight by 2 lbs or more. I'm tired of these stores and gas stations overcharging us and believing that there's nothing we can do about it. Family owned neighborhood grocery store. Decent prices in weekly ads, Staff mostly friendly. Main guy not so much. Store could be a little cleaner and meat more aesthetically pleasing or even fresher. Editing to take away one star. Seems as if every time I come in contact with the owner it's never a customer friendly situation. This time it was over a pricing situation which even though clearly stated was not honored.
