I recently had an extremely disappointing and frustrating experience with Sand Land Adventures that left me feeling cheated and disregarded as a customer. Despite encountering a serious forest fire on the road leading to their location, the company refused to refund my money, displaying a complete lack of empathy and customer service. The day had started with much excitement and anticipation as my friends and I eagerly set off for Sand Land Adventures. However, our journey quickly took an unexpected turn when we encountered a raging forest fire along the road. The situation was clearly dangerous and posed a significant risk to our safety. Naturally, we had no choice but to prioritize our well-being and turn back. Understandably, I contacted Sand Land Adventures immediately to explain the situation and request a refund. I expected the company to show understanding and compassion, considering the circumstances were beyond anyone's control. Unfortunately, that was far from the response I received. The customer service representative I spoke with exhibited a complete lack of concern for our safety and welfare. Instead of expressing sympathy or offering any form of compensation, they callously informed me that their policy explicitly stated that refunds were not issued under any circumstances. This rigid policy displayed a shocking disregard for customer safety and satisfaction. I attempted to reason with the representative, explaining the severity of the situation and the sheer impossibility of reaching their location due to the ongoing forest fire. However, my pleas fell on deaf ears, as the company stuck to its heartless policy without offering any alternative solutions or compromises. Their complete lack of flexibility and refusal to acknowledge the extenuating circumstances left me feeling betrayed and utterly disappointed. Sand Land Adventures' refusal to refund my money in such a critical situation is not only deeply disappointing but also unethical. As customers, we expect a certain level of compassion and understanding from service providers, especially in unforeseen circumstances beyond our control. Sadly, Sand Land Adventures failed to meet these basic expectations, leaving a bitter taste in my mouth. I strongly advise against dealing with Sand Land Adventures, as their inflexible refund policy demonstrates a clear lack of empathy and customer-oriented values. It is evident that they prioritize their profits over customer satisfaction and safety. Spare yourself the frustration and disappointment by seeking out more responsible and compassionate adventure companies that value their customers' well-being. In conclusion, Sand Land Adventures' failure to refund my money during a forest fire emergency was an appalling display of insensitivity and disregard for their customers' safety. Their rigid policy and lack of empathy have left me with a negative impression of their business, and I urge others to think twice before engaging...

We brought my son here for his 11th birthday and we booked the Sand dune ride which was amazing our driver was great and we had a great time. We returned to the main attraction and bought several tickets for the water bumper rides as well as the goat cart track. While on the go-kart track my son got injured, they did not turn on any sort of light indicating there was an accident on the track and he got hit by the same child numerous times, even though there are signs everywhere stating that anybody bumping will be removed from the track he was allowed to finish the ride. Upon the ride ending they retrieved my son's hat from the track that was completely destroyed and they asked the other child if he was okay however my kid was emotional and crying and was injured he has a bruise on his chest from the seat belt. I went into the office and spoke with the manager and explained the situation I did inform her that I understand that accidents happen but I thought that she would be a little bit more understanding and maybe offer some sort of apology or something to make the situation right. The manager was very hostile and confrontational she proceeded to go get another staff member and requested to speak to my son stating that he was fine when he got off of the ride the manager and the male staff member tried to interrogate my son I stepped in the middle and told them that I was not comfortable with the way this was proceeding and we did leave the park. Upon leaving the park we reached out to higher up management who was a complete joke, he stated that he did not anticipate us returning back to the park and therefore had no positive resolution for us. It is a shame that there is not better management running this place as I do believe the dunes was a great attraction however we do not feel welcomed back at this establishment and we will not be recommending this to any friends or...

Ridiculous customer focus. I’m a disabled vet and we took our four grand kids to go on dune buggy ride. We paid and realized we had two hours to use up before our ride. So I paid for our grand kids to go on bumper cars and go-carts. After, we decided to go see about playing mini golf for the kids. $10 per kid and the manager said I had to go with them. I informed her I count walk with them unless I could sit down throughout the course. I was told I coujd but I’d have to pay as well just to be with them on the course. I informed the manager I couldn’t play because of my disability and she said it didn’t matter that others ruined it for folks like me. We chose not to play. While waiting for our dine buggy ride our 7 year old granddaughter decide to tumble on the only strip of grass she saw. The service attendant at the go-kart yelled and told my granddaughter she couldn’t be on the grass and to get off. My wife was with her and thus attendant began to yell at her and became very disrespectful toward her. My wife asked why and that there is no sign saying “stay off the grass”. He didn’t give her a reason except to yell get off the grass. I intervened and raised my voice that he’s not going to yell at my wife and scare my grand daughter so much that she ran over to me and snuggled close. I’m over 60 but my hackles were up. No way is this guy going to scare my granddaughter nor yell and threaten my wife by saying he’s taking her buggy ride away and be so rude. He quickly rushed to the checkin area and got the manager. She came out and we informed her of what transpired. WOW! First, nickle and dime at a family event center is rigid rules but I can accept that. But to be mistreated, disrespected, and being rude from the establishment staff is unacceptable. We will not return. Maybe you will have a better experience. Perhaps out dune buggy ride will...

60 mph over 7,000 acres of sand dunes in a 200hp buggy was a wee bit exhilarating.  I yawned three or four times during the ride.  Wait a minute...... that might have been a silent scream. We did both rides, the Sandrail Tour and the Giant Dune Buggy Tour & Beach Tour. The Sandrail Tour costs $35/person for 30 minutes of a fast exciting ride.  It was rough and fast paced, reaching speeds of 60 mph over the dunes.  Lots of fun even for us 65+ folks.  Doug, our driver, was great.  He was very cautious, and I never felt that he took unnecessary risks. He was always aware of his surroundings. This Buggy can accommodate up to seven passengers. The Giant Dune Buggy Tour & Beach Tour costs $18/person, lasts for an hour, and was slower and allowed more time to take in the vast sweeping landscape. Chris was our driver for this tour.  Although this tour is designed to be slower, there were more screams and yells than on the faster ride. The Buggy can hold up to 27 passengers. Think of an open air school bus with massive tires and you will get the picture. Lots to do at this place.  There are Go-Karts,  Bumper boats,  miniature golf and a train ride (currently not operating). Very friendly staff. Medium size parking lot,  and it can fill up quickly. Personally I wouldn't pull a large RV in here.  There is a good chance you might get blocked in and have to wait for someone to leave. They have two RV parking sites,  but we saw mostly cars parked in them. Just south of Florence on Hwy 101. Highly recommend you check this place out. A place for all ages.
