Updated to add: Heard back after this review (see below). My suggestion would be to actually listen to the people playing and telling you about the cheating. The kids told you multiple times and you did NOTHING. It fell on deaf ears.
I had really high hopes for this place. We had been to a party at Fairfield which was amazing. Booked here when Fairfield was not available to bring my son for his 13th with 5 of his same-aged friends. Big mistake.
Pros: Larger area to play than Fairfield. Cooler setup with a real truck. Cozier lobby. Young girl giving instructions was clearer. All 6 boys were put on the same team and not split like last time.
Cons: Despite emphasizing respawn kills were cheating to all parties there and to not climb under the truck and other items, they let the opposing team respawn kill over and over and break the rules the entire time, even after our party inside said something about it. It was a massacre. Opposing team stood outside their respawn room and took out the entire team whenever they came out and took off their own helmets to avoid being killed, something you can see happen even if you casually glanced at the monitors and leaderboard. I don't expect them to win every time, but I do expect management to intervene when someone is blatantly cheating instead of watching it on their own monitor and laughing. It's dishonorable playing and should've been nipped in the bud instead of given deference because it seemed as if staffers knew some of the other team (a quick look at the weekly leaderboard showed that one of the opposing team girls was in fact a regular with very poor sportsmanship skills). This didn't happen in Fairfield. Because of this, all of the boys came out saying the same thing, that the other team cheated and the workers let them.
It didn't ruin the night, but to pay this much money to be set up for slaughter and cheaters with zero management reprimands, it certainly...
Read moreWent here with a bunch of friends and it was mostly fun because of the friends not really the place. The layout is kind of dumb cause one spawn point has a clear advantage over the other since one has a more open plan and the other you have to zigzag through 5 rooms to get back to it. Also I particularly had difficulties with the weapon since it was designed for a right-handed person. I just thought the design of the weapon was dumb since I kept having to adjust the way I was holding just to look at the screen on the side and use the controls not that it wasn't made for a lefty. I'm not sure if they have lefty guns since I didn't think to ask due to never having done this before but also none of the employees asked if anyone was left-handed so I'd call ahead if you got a lefty in your group. They do have a lot of different game types which was good for variety but I wouldn't say all of them were great but good to try out for a first time play. Overall I'd probably not come back here pricey for a...
Read moreI'm glad that my child had a chance to play. For some secret, unknown, TOP SECURITY CLEARANCE reason, I wasn't allowed to play even though I was invited to by a friend who booked the party.
There were two young men who were helpful, courteous, and professional, who helped me set up my child's account. Then, when it was my turn, this one, little female worker yelled at the dude helping me, and at first LIED and said I didn't sign the waiver. I did. And one of the young men pointed that out to her. So when the second young man went back to get me a sling, and help on the tablet to sign in, she yelled at him and made a scene.
I never caught the girl's name, but she was deceitful, rude, and unprofessional.
I guess I'll support a different company in the future.
Response to "owner": We both know you're the girl, and NOT the owner. The owner would have been considerate enough to supply the reason. In this way, I wouldn't have wasted the drive in the...
