This evening, 2 of my friends and I went to go putt and chip on the practice green. The Marshall stopped us before we got there told him we were just putting he said thatâs fine for today. I am a new resident to the condos just past number 5 tee boxes. One of my friends dropped us off to Putt and my roommate and I were just going to walk back home. Had no intentions on playing.
Take in account this is probably 6-6:30 P.M.
As we are making our nice evening stroll back to the house. I see a ball in the bushes on hole number 3 so I grab my wedge and chip it up on the green and continue to walk home. 1 shot. No harm to the golf course. Even fixed my divot from where the ball landed on the green.
The Marshall comes up to my roommate and I extremely heated. Threatens to call the cops on us. That we needed to walk back and leave right away that we were trespassing.
I proceed to tell him we were just walking home and werenât playing. He proclaims he saw me hit a chip or in his words a âgolf shotâ. Yes 1 chip from a ball that was in the bushes that I had grabbed out. Not a full swing. No divot was taken. Nothing. 1 simple chip during the walk home.
Told us the direction we were going was the wrong direction and needed to go the other way. Unfortunately I wasnât gonna do that since I was already half way home.
The aggressive marshal proceeds to say âIâll follow youâ. Technically that is stalking. Itâs a public path that I actually run on a lot of mornings as well. I proceed to say âhey sir this is really unnecessary and uncalled for we are just walking homeâ his professional response was âitâs unnecessary that you are trespassing as an adultâ. He indeed did not follow us. Thankfully. Creep. But as we were passing 5 tee into the neighborhood he was sitting in the middle of the fairway. Like come on man.
Iâm not sure who this guy is but it seems like based off other reviews on here they have had similar issues with the Marshalls. Probably this guy.
To the origins management staff, the Marshall on duty of the evening of Tuesday April 23, 2024 please look into the background check of the Marshall. He is insanely aggressive and...
Read moreI donât give a lot of reviews because I realize how important they are to business. That being said I come to 30A every November and I play golf a few times during my stay. Iâve played Origins Golf Club a number of times. This year I was playing with a group of beginners. I went to Golf Now to make sure they werenât busy. So I planned the 1st tee time and it looked like we had 4 or 5 tee times between the next group. We spent over $400.00 between fees, clubs, golf shirts, and water that we never received. We were slow and let about 4 groups pass us and every group was super nice and super supportive. When we were on our last hole Michael Holovach comes by and said how slow we were playing, and it shouldnât take 3 hours to play this course. I told him that we let a number of groups pass. The group behind us only had to wait on the very last hole. I told Mr. Holovach I had beginners when we started and it was totally unnecessary for him to come and belittle our group. Beginners have to start and play somewhere, so starting early, playing in the off season, and letting groups pass, Iâm not sure of what else we could have done. We paid way too much money to be treated so poorly. At first I thought he treated us so poorly because of our race, however after looking at all the reviews I realize heâs just that kind of guy. I do also want to mention the guy cutting the grass was exceptionally great. He stopped what he was doing and explained the course and was very pleasant and professional. I wanted to give them one star however the course was exceptionally pretty and the guy mowing the grass was great as well. It's unfortunate that our experience was marred by...
Read moreToday was my first experience playing golf.-ever. There were multiple courses on the web to choose from and Origins seemed to be the best selection based on the description as noted on the home page (Friendly and "beginner, armature" and they seemed to pride their club by these specific words).
Unfortunately, at check in, we were given erroneous instructions about driving near the greens and not once did any of the staff tell us that we didn't meet dress code- such as collars were required (nor was this requirement was mentioned on the website as well).. After a hasty and unprofessional reprimand after the 4th hole, I skipped out playing - not only from shaky nerves but I felt rushed as I could see the upcoming group behind us and proceeded to give them time, courtesy and respect of the game as I have been told.
On the 10th hole, I joined my group for a final round. Par 3! The day would have seemed to end on a positive note until we were once again, greeted by another Marshall - who followed us from the last hole to the parking lot where he proceeded to reprimanded us once again even though we followed the exact instructions. As a 60 year old adult, it behooves me to be treated with ugliness and a sharp brash tone of voice used by both of the Marshalls even though we apologized. Where is your kindness? Where is your inspiration for the love of the game?
I will not let their behavior discouraged me from playing again and giving the game a second chance to enjoy...
