First of all the locals didn't seem to happy with tourist making their way to the private beach. There isn't any public buildings such as restrooms, showers, but if you wanted to walk north to Caspersen beach or south to Manasota Key beach to get to the more public areas. This beach is private and very nice, not to much shells but we still found a good bit of shark teeth in better condition than the ones at Caspersen beach. Also here there aren't any rocks in the way you get into the water and seemed to be clearer at this area. Tried fishing here but no luck, I used shrimp and other fresh bait but only got crabs nibbling on my bait. You can take a diving mask and keep close to the edge of the beach and look and find those pretty in tacked shark teeth

Very cool lil short ride to a private beach. The locals don't like tourist to much but as long as you bring everything back you took out to the beach all will be good. Not to much shells but still found a good bit of nice shark teeth. Didnt have to much luck with fishing but still a fun time. Would def recommend the beach but there is no public restrooms or showers, not like the other public beaches around the area

Beautiful semi private beach only a short ferry ride away, The home we rented came with the ferry pass and it was my favorite part! The captian was so nice, ferry leaves every half hour, I would suggest arriving early.. we had 2 wonderful days out there, but waves were huge! Found lots of shark teeth and felt as if we were on our own private beach. One of my new favorite places!!

My parents bought a house in South Venice Florida 3 months ago and my family and I came to visit them during July 4th week. Our first day there on June 30th we decided to ride the ferry to the beach. From the moment we arrived the captain of the ferry was EXTREMELY rude. Not only to us but to others around us. He had not ONE kind word to say to ANYONE. He proceeded to argue with a man about something very insignificant and to tell a small child (that wasn’t with us) that she couldn’t take her toys to the beach (which probably weighed about 15 pounds). He yelled at my mother about not being fast enough getting on the boat and the list goes on and on. He had ABSOLUTELY NOTHING KIND TO SAY TO ANYONE!! If I treated people in my profession as a nurse the way this man treats people I would have been fired a LONG time ago. This man’s public relations rating gets a zero!! I can’t remember his name but he only works on the weekends. So attention all visitors: do not ride the ferry on weekends unless you want to enjoy the company of a very condescending and...

The convenience of the boat ramp by the house is nice but I will no longer be using this ramp. Due to the change in “policy” now they want all registration for the tow vehicle the vessel and the trailer to buy a key not to mention they raised the price for a resident key. I have paid for this key 2 years in a row with only having to provide a drivers license now they want extra paperwork that I won’t be providing them. Also every time I use this ramp there’s a kid that comes up and starts flipping switches in my boat without permission and gets a attitude towards me if someone else is in line. He comes up and yells at me to hurry when I go as fast as I can to keep the line moving or as soon as I get there and start backing my boat in the water. I am disappointed with the services of this ramp and will start going somewhere else and I suggest others...

If I could leave zero stars for this place (or the captain) I would. My daughter and I are here for her 21st birthday and to celebrate our last night we wanted to take the sunset trip, we arrived at 6:45 the captain was already pulling off and had 4 passengers on the boat. He looked at us and kept going so we assumed he would be back to pick us up WELL we wait 15 minutes or so for him to return he then ask can I help you? I stated we wanted to do the sunset trip, he then said he a fairy not a taxi and we missed the boat. He recommended another beach for us to go to, i then asked where it was located he then said Google it. This man was horrible!!!! And definitely shouldn't be in any type of customer service.... if I had a number or contact to make a complaint on...
