First of all, I'm all for small businesses and buying from small businesses. When i first looked for a flower shop to order from for my mom I just knew Jim's would be great. The reviews were great and i had heard about them around town when i visit. My mother is from Fordyce and has worked there for years. I don't live anywhere close so I always send her flowers on her birthday just to do something nice until i get to see her on her actual birthday. I gave this business the benefit of the doubt this year because I ordered from them last year and when I called to make sure my mothers flowers were delivered they had no record of my order. I made the order online and i was told there was no order under my name and they couldn't find it even though i had a confirmation email, and order number, and my credit card had been charged. Had I not called, my mother never would have gotten her flowers. Last year they made a point to do a little extra and made a beautiful arrangement for her. It was above and beyond. Beautiful! I understand the internet glitches and things can't be helped sometimes so I gave Jim the benefit of the doubt. Things happen. I ordered flowers for my mother for her birthday this year and got nothing close to what I ordered. The flowers delivered to my mom looked like they went and grabbed a handful out of the ditch. I paid almost $70.00 for a deluxe order and got nothing close to what I ordered. When I called about the issue I was told I actually got more than what I paid for. There are only 6 or 7 actual flowers in the vase delivered to my mom besides the little white flowers you can pick on the side of the road. The rest is A LOT of greenery. I was also told the flowers that were needed for the set i ordered came in on the weekend and weren't available. I put my order in over the weekend so there's no way they shouldn't have been able to have flowers for what i ordered. I also never got a phone call informing me they didn't have flowers for what I ordered so maybe I could choose something else. When you pay a lot of money for something you expect to get the quality you paid for. Not excuses and being talked over on the phone like your stupid and don't know what you're talking about. All Jim said to me was that i got more than what i paid for and kept talking over me. So thank you, Jim's Flowers for ruining my mothers birthday (her 50th, btw) I won't be ordering from you again and i'll definitely be spreading the word. There is no way i got more than what i paid for. No apology, no let me try to fix it, no i understand. Nothing, except "you got what you paid for and even more actually." The arrangement i ordered on the website said it was a New Arrangement also. Surely, a new flower arrangement would be available but apparently not. The proof is in the pictures. I'm not one to post reviews and bash anybody and that's not my intention now but I am making it known to check your orders, call and make sure they have the flowers you actually ordered because you won't get a call if not. If you want your moneys worth you will have to call and make sure they even have the flowers needed for the arrangement you choose. I was so angry I was in tears on the phone because I was embarrassed over what my mother actually got. I could have went out and picked a better arrangement from the flowers and roses in my yard. Then after getting off the phone with Jim with absolutely no solutions i had to call my mother and apologize to her for the less than exceptional arrangement she was sent. I was mortified.
