The Village Bluebird — Local services in Forest Township

I'm absolutely disappointed, I drive by everyday to go to work and seen the up and coming business was going to open soon, I wanted to go in as soon as they opened to support small business and also noticed they aren't busy yet being new. So I went in I bought a 3 piece pillow set, a pair of handmade earrings, and a 3 piece plate set , that set on a Set on a metal tier. All items had a price tag on them 7$, 10$ 15$ so there was no mistake in what I was to pay. I bring items home. I pull out the reciept I see I've been over charged 15$ . I call the store explain I was over charged owner remembered me , I said I would apply the 15$ over charge to another item. Owner put aside item for me until she opened today this week. I go in bring in items I already purchased 5 days ago to show I hadn't even taken any out of the bags yet they were still wrapped. Owner says she remembers me and that the charge was for the 3 plate metal tier. I said the tag clearly stated 15$ In the tier plate set otherwise I would not have paid 30$ for 3 plates sitting on the tier which the tier itself looked like a 5$ piece. I told Owner I would not of purchased that item for 30$ just to apply the 30$ to a different item. I feel terribly bamboozled, cheated, and utterly disappointed. Well that's my experience and I will never go back again, and I will tell others my story . Also the Owner is extremely bad at Math. Also when you put in your Credit Card and if when it asks you would you like a print reciept, or e- mail ect... My advise is get your printed reciept and...

The Village Bluebird is a lovely store filled with gorgeous one of a kind vintage items as well as hand made items from local artisans and vendors. Everything is well displayed and reasonably priced so shopping is a joy. The owner of the store (a retired schoolteacher) is truly lovely. She makes you feel welcome from the moment you enter.
