I've been visiting this place since I was a kid. I'd visit with my Grandfather because he LOVED the peach ice cream and he was sure to grab a few boxes of peaches as well. I've ALWAYS loved visiting. I've never had any complaints until now. Recently my family and I visited for ice cream and we were greeted by an amazingly kind young black man. He was VERY helpful. But the other staff members watched my family and I like a hawk. And I can't help but feel that it was because we're black. We couldn't even browse and shop in peace. And one young lady kept smirking at the other staff as if she was making rude gestures .I didn't confront them because they were all so young. My family said they have never felt more uncomfortable anywhere. I'm not the type to leave bad reviews. And it pains me to have to leave one for a place that's been a place for so many memories. But I do feel that some customer service training should be had in the near future. I spend very good money each time I visit. But it wouldn't matter if I spent nothing. Nobody should be made to feel this way. I trust that you'll correct this issue. I won't give up on you just yet. I just don't wanna be made to feel uncomfortable and...
Read moreI can’t believe the reviews on this place. Is it cool to see, yes. We stopped about 3:20 Saturday 5/23. Most of the little area is cash only. The farm stand and the other general store. We walked over to the other part I was standing in line for ice cream and hot dogs when a man cut it to split it in two lines which it wasn’t when I got in to line they were just splitting as a cash register came available. 4 people ended up in the line ahead of me including him. I finally get to the front of the line at the register I ordered a sweet tea 2 hotdogs 1 large strawberry and 1 small peach. There is no condiments but some puffed up packs of ketchup relish and mayo. I made do but as soon as I got to the truck to eat a hot dog I opened the wrapper and knew it had been sitting for hours. It had brown speckles on the dog and the bun was moist. It was The worst. I threw both out. Then I started drinking the tea. When my husband said there’s stuff floating in it. I looked and saw it. 🤢never again...
Read morePeople make the trek to Dickey Farms from all across Georgia. Which should tell you a lot, because there's pretty much no other reason to come to Musella unless you're related to one of the 1,200 residents or work on one of the many farms in the area. Churches outnumber any kind of other business except for maybe agriculture. So given that this place is a 30 minute drive from the closest freeway, the people who come this way mean to do so. And travel they do, drawn by Dickey Farms and its many pleasures including their produce and famous ice cream. For many, a day well spent means a trek along the back roads of Georgia for the promise of some delicious fruit and a few minutes lounging on Dickey's porch with a Strawberry/Peach Swirl Cone and a grab bag of peach flavored condiments to take back home. There’s not anything else to do here, but it’s definitely an...
