I visited this place with my family and my 13 years old small dog, while we were using the restroom, we sat down my daughter and our 13 years old small dog, who can barely move on a chair outside of the shop, they were sitting quietly and not disturbing or attracting attention in any way, upon our return they were nowhere to be found, I panicked and started to look around and went to my car to figure out that somebody from the store literally carried my 13-year-old dog and walked my underage daughter to the car saying dogs are strictly not allowed. My daughter was crying in the middle of the road and she had no idea what just happened now. I understand that the store has no dog policy and I respect that. However, the insensitivity with which the entire matter was dealt was appalling. There are a couple of problems with this entire incident. The lady who literally threw my dog and daughter out of the store was told by my daughter that my parents are returning after a short restroom break. So ideally she should have waited for us to arrive, since no disturbance was caused in anyway. If for whatever reason she felt there was disturbance caused, we were happy to pay for all the damages. The fact that the lady picked up my dog puts my dog's life in danger because she's a stranger. Chances are that that my dog may have bitten her and in that case because of somebody's stupidity, impatience and insensitivity I rather would have had to...
Read moreUnique Bigfoot & Redwoods themed novelty shop. Stop for a quick look around the store and sift through innumerable amounts of Bigfoot and redwoods themed souvenirs. Upon first look, the outside is decorated with many handmade wooden sculptures of animals & famous cartoon characters. Also, if you walk towards the left side of the grounds you can find an interesting little wooden house with other tiny bird houses around it. Thereâs a lot to see here but it can all be seen in a relatively short amount of time. Be mindful of traffic if you park along the road because this place is located on a blind turn, directly off the 101 so cars may be constantly flowing at high speeds. For first-timers, I definitely recommend visiting here at least once during your trip through...
Read moreThis magical spot in the middle of the sequoia forest off of highway 101 is canât miss, especially if you have toddlers. Wind chimes add the soundtrack to the oohs and aaahs theyâll make from all the cool sculptures. Thereâs a seeming endless array of memorabilia to choose from and restrooms available on site. The gals inside were super friendly with warm heated smiles. There was an older gentleman outside that looked to have had quite a bit of experience with shoplifters and delinquents. I donât know if he worked there or had been carved out of wood as well, but he looked like a grandfather full of stories regarding lighthouse storms and batting the Kraken. This place is pure magic and a thesis on successful...
