Silver Cross Catholic Store — Local services in Fort Loramie

Silver Cross Catholic Books & Gifts gifts is a mid-sized Catholic store located near a gas station. The store has a very Traditional Catholic ambiance and carries many Traditional Catholic statues, sacred images, Rosaries, Sacramental gifts, books, etc.

This is the first store where we found portable kneelers, a common sight before Vatican II, but now a practice to spur reverence and piety during prayer that has been forgotten after Vatican II's new theology (post 1960s) made it optional.

The store carries beautiful mantillas that are created locally as well as imported from Spain. One can also find a nice selection of DVDs, and if one wants to rent them, they can be loaned for $3/weekly.

At this store we found many Traditional Catholic books such as The Three Conversions in the Spiritual Life by Reginald Garrigou-Lagrange, The 1962 Roman Missal by Baronius Press, Faith of our Fathers (Vol 1-3) by Fr Jurgens and the original (not revised) Baltimore Catechism. Checkout was easy and straightforward.

Beautiful Catholic store. They have devotional cards, wall hangings, CDs, DVDs, crosses, rosaries, jewelry, kids items, first communion veils, and lots of books. They can also special order items. Very nice owners. My son broke a piece off of a statue I was buying him, though they certainly didn't have to (it was my fault), they took 15 percent off.
